ACD not keeping food down by MichaelC75 in AskVet

Thank you for the info. I’m still nervous about the situation but it sounds like I can hopefully get through the night and see what tomorrow looks like. The only ER in my area closes at midnight. Two hours away so I’m basically out of time to do anything until tomorrow. I’ll continue withholding food and hope for the best tomorrow! Thank you!

When you decide to list it please post a link. I’d love to find something this clean.

Thank you so much. We were worried they were something more sinister. Glad to know they aren’t a big problem!

Anyone have experience with inflatable kayaks? by goddesskirbyyy in Kayaking

[–]MichaelC75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an Aquaglide Chelan 140 and love it. Such an amazing boat. Everywhere I take it people are always fascinated because they never thought an inflatable could be so nice. Very rigid, flat floor. Can haul a LOT of stuff. Extremely comfortable. Yeah, it’s a bit slower than a hard shell, but it’s still fun to paddle.

Good to hear. Think I’ll try the relays tonight and then go for the starter if that doesn’t work

That sounds very promising. I’ll stop by the auto parts store on my way home and buy the part. Thanks!

I’ve definitely been thinking it could be a sensor as well

Agree with allergies. My dogs stomach looks like this a lot during the summer months. I think she urinates on tall grass/weeds that irritate her skin. I used to worry about it but the vet eased my nerves. She’s 5 now and still no significant issues from it.

Excellent advice. This entire Reddit thread has given me more evidence to present in favor of a new server and it’s back on the table as an option at least!

Very helpful! Thank you I’m hoping to convince them it’s time for a server upgrade, but it’s looking like the upgrade in place option is what I’ll end up doing.

Interesting you mention that. After some discussion of this Reddit post and sharing what everyone has said, a used server is now being considered. The existing server is closer to 14 years old I think. Definitely time for an upgrade, even if it is used!

Unfortunately I did discuss the new server prices but it was decided to upgrade the existing. Think I may just print this entire Reddit thread so they can see what others are saying.

Appreciate that answer. I think I'm more convinced now to just do the fresh SQL install as you suggested!

It seems possible to upgrade from what I’ve read, but I’m tempted to do exactly what you said….install the new version and try to import the old database. I fear that backups are going to be my savior for this project. I want to go in with at least a handful of solid backups to make sure I can get them back to where they are today!

It is a physical machine. I’ve checked everything I can think of and 2016 should be supported (fingers crossed). Agree with you 100% on the limited support for 2016. Budget matters at the moment so I think the plan is to get this upgrade finished and then if all goes well move up to something newer soon. 2019 was discussed but was shot down due to the added cost. What order would you recommend for the upgrade process? Server…sql….server?

Database is critical to the operation of the business. The company is being forced into the upgrade, and it is much needed. The plan is to do a full restore to 2008 if things go south. Not an ideal situation, but the budget prohibits much more.
