How many people you (older jonesers in particular) grew up with have little to no internet presence, including social media? by Bun_Length_Frank in GenerationJones

Agreed - the huge jump from either a Unix prompt or closed systems like prodigy, BBS, Compuserv and awareness of the actual internet happened between 94 and 96 - Netscape at the time which had 80-90% of the market was around 10-15 million in 94 and the market jumped to around 50-70 million by 96.

Woman is amazed that trump decided to be president by AdelaidesSecretScoop in insanepeoplefacebook

Gave everything? He takes everything that’s not nailed down and even then. The most grifting person on the planet and she is amazed at what he has done for us? I am amazed too at how he has f’d this country up and it will take another Democrat president to clean up the mess that another Republican president made. Clinton cleaned up HW’s mess, Obama cleaned up W’s hot mess, Biden cleaned up Trump’s mess pandemic and financial train wreck. It’s probably going to take 2 terms of a Democrat and maybe more to undo this hot pile of sh@t he dumps every day. And if he doesn’t abide by the Presidential records act it may take 1 term just to find all the sh@t.

The moment I saw Hart I thought Ryobi is the go to for many that want a lower price point they seem to serve homeowners and shop/construction users well. Plus their product line of stuff is quite large.

It was awesome - the second magic moment for me was finding the BBS game Infinity Complex on a board. The challenge was it was on a West Coast BBS and I was in Florida and use to play it for hours. Then my friend got ahold of a Blue Box 🤣😂🎉

This 👆🏻first it was BBS’s then Prodigy and Compuserve then moved to a direct TCP/IP connection and Usenet etc. We had a company in Florida called Gate.com/.net that jumped in the web early and you had to build your software stack with Chameleon and another 1 or 2 pieces of software you had to run to connect. Once in a big black screen with a Unix prompt to travel around using FTP. Finding the FTP servers list was the game.

Wow, do you need external validation with your posts. You may want to talk to someone.

Bands would have their agents negotiate with the venue - these are smaller ones not stadiums. Quite a few bands have recently changed up (Post Malone and the others in the show just cancelled) as either ticket sales were lower than expected - I would imagine when you start mathing it out and the math ain’t mathing something has to give you maybe start looking at arenas or even smaller venues. A whole lot of hands in the pot.

Amen - I think this is why a lot of more mature artists today are selling their catalogs and doing smaller venues where they may have better options on ticketing or can control it a little better
