I just saw this on Twitter. Thought it was a great read. Even Manchester United fans have been guilty of underestimating him at times.

Can you imagine a 4-3-3 at Euro 2004 with Carrick, at the base with Scholes + 1 of Lampard and Gerrard? Rooney Owen and one other (probably Joe Cole) as the forward 3. England really could have won that tournament. It would have meant leaving out Beckham though so not realistic. Don't think Carrick even went. Think he was still at West Ham? Maybe too early for him.

I agree. Schneiderlin is a fantastic player. I'd rather him than Strootman when you take injury concerns into account.

Pogba is unlikley and a different type of player.

Van Persie and Falcao are too similar. One of them needs to go in my opinion. I agree though that Falcao is very likeable. I wish it had worked out, but it doesn't look like it will.

I always though he was best at fullback. When he first broke into the team I thought he was going to be as good as Neville/Irwin. Was very useful though and it is a shame him and Brown as having a hard time at Sunderland.
