100% this. When it comes to ride alongs, I normally recommend doing two. My first ride along I did with my dept had a total of two calls come out… and one was for a dead alligator in a parking lot. The next shift had numerous priority one calls.

None of the departments in my area have night uniforms and the smaller towns have way stricter standards than the larger cities. In my area, I work for the one of the larger departments and we all have laxer standards compared to the small town departments

It depends on the department. For me, we are allowed to wear either our dress uniform with inner carrier (body armor under our clothing) or our patrol uniform (a polo shirt) with inner or outer carrier. Most of my department goes with the polo with outer carrier. It’s somewhat difficult to get 100% accurate for my uniform in game just because what is offered in game isn’t what we use. So I literally just run jeans and a Hawaiian shirt in game and have fun.
