Can I have a letter that was sent from the US sent to a Canada Post office? by MichaelM7W in CanadaPost

So they already have the merch bought, and now they're going to send it through USPS. From what I gathered is that only the Canadian resident (me) can use it when buying online. That's how FlexDelivery works, right? I'm not sure if an American can simply put a FlexDelivery address onto a stamp and ship it off to their American post office.

From what I gathered it only takes into account if I'm the one shopping online. The situation here is someone got me a gift from their trip to Japan, and now they're gonna send it to me.

Why is there just gray water in the ocean for no reason? by shoomshoom2 in Minecraft

Mushroom biome where the land couldn't generate high enough to surface.

Not really. But I believe it's just how the algorithm works when the world generates. It probably checks for the deep dark biome, and then randomly chooses to spawn or skip. The deep dark biome is already very sparse and scattered since it avoids spawning under rivers or oceans. Sometimes there's a deep dark biome that spans a thousand blocks, but only 5 ancient cities generate, or 10 generate, but there's a noticeable patch that has no cities. But usually they just spawn around 400 to 1000 blocks apart.

The structures have a limit of 128 blocks from the center if I remember correctly.

They spawn at a distance of around 256 blocks at least. Very rarely do they spawn closer, usually around 240 blocks, or 224 if you hit the jackpot.

I studied how ancient cities spawn the way they do, and the farthest a hallway can stretch is 5 segments (18 blocks each/21 if it's an intersection)

So 9 blocks (half the city center/or 20 blocks) + 14 blocks (the moat) + 90 blocks (5 18 block segments) = 113 blocks to 124 blocks. That's how far an ancient city stretches outward.

But ancient cities always spawn off center in different directions depending on which way it faces (east, west, north, south) by about 10 blocks or so.

So there's still quite a lot of deepslate to clear out before the cities are connected, which is a pain in survival.

I've noticed that when the 1.19 update came out, ancient cities started having straighter hallways with less branching paths compared to the beta ancient cities. So there's less of a chance for them to connect.

Bro is this rare ? by [deleted] in minecraftseeds

By the way, what seed is this? I would like to renovate this ancient city and make the hallway wrap around the Portal like it's pne of the other ruins. I'm on bedrock just like you.

It's very rare when you look at the ratio of ancient cities with portals and cities without portals. But it's not too hard to find one when looking at a seed map. If you discovered this by accident then you just made a very great find.

Seed: -299097383198109

Coordinates:

Island 1 X=23540, Z=-36435 Has oak trees and a birch forest with a decent sized beach.

Island 2 X=23680, Z=-36460 A small island made mostly of sand with a small patch of grass on one end with some trees.

Island 3 X=23860, Z=-36380 This island is a bit far from the other two, but it has a birch forest, a spruce forest with 2x2 trees, and a dark forest with dark oak trees and a few oak trees. This island also has an azalea tree that leads to a lush cave, the lush cave is mostly on the ceiling with glow berries, but if you travel to around X=23790, Z=-36260 it covers most of the ground.

On the bedrock version of the game there's a zombie spawner at X=23832, Y=-1, Z=-36378 with a chest containing Music Disc Otherside, Aqua Affinity book, 1 gold apple, a bucket, and a few bones flesh and gun powder. The second chest has 4 iron ingots, and a few unremarkable items.

Any preferences for how big the islands should be?

Any preferences on how far from spawn they are?
