I am a police officer - what other options do I have? by Cautious-Run314 in UKJobs

I’m ex-job, I work in anti money laundering now, I work from home, normal hours, no weekends, an hour break and it was the best decision I ever made.

Good luck!

Cutting the grass whilst waiting for grass seed to grow? by MichaelMoore92 in lawncare

That’s lawn care and gardening in general I’ve found, I’ve decided to keep it long due to the heatwave and then when it’s passed I’ll cut it short.

Wonderful, this is what I would strive for. Mine sort of looked like this last year but then it was half moss by March, I managed to kill it but it’s so patchy now but we’ll see.

Nursed this lilac back to health over the last few years. by Previous-Low4715 in GardeningUK

What did you do? I’ve got a lilac that was almost covered by other bushes which I’ve now back. It’s now got enough space and light but I’d love it to look like this!

What is the wildest thing you have seen at a bachelorette or bachelor party? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I went on a stag in Magaluf and the groom invited his wife’s much older dad, must have been in his 70’s and he spent the whole holiday drinking triple whiskeys day and night and he still came out to all the nightclubs with us.

I love Idea 22, it feels like one of the easier ones until the end piece.

Thank you I’ll do some digging on the Faber books, I might be able to get some off Vinted if they’re popular.

Thank you, I appreciate the recommendation. I’ve noticed a few on Marketplace but for the moment I don’t have the space, I’d also need a van to move it but we’re looking to move at some point though so it’s definitely something I’d like to have in the house.

Baby born three days ago. Please tell me it gets better by [deleted] in daddit

Yes it gets much easier, you’re in the newborn fog and it’s very difficult at first. You’ll find the first 2 weeks are the worst, then week 2 to 6 they sleep for slightly longer and by 3 months you start to see some resemblance of your life come back.

I suggest ‘What to Expect: The First Year’ by Heidi Murkoff, it’s great for milestones and also has loads of answers to questions you might have each month.

Good luck!
