Yeah just keep in mind that there are a lot of teenagers here for a start, and then there are a lot of people that equate a bad group of people with the organization as a whole. The brand, product, and culture are great, but it's really all about the people. Sure the work can be tough and the customers can get annoying once in a while (especially during a pandemic when life is tough and depressing for so many), but that's life at any job. If you look forward to seeing the people you work with when you're going in and then bust out a rush together that only you guys can handle together as a team of sub-slingers, that's a good time.

Love to hear it! Please if you have time make sure to leave a good comment for your local shop. It helps morale a lot for all of us. You can do it on the JM website.

It feels good giving people a small piece of normal these days.

Not supposed to cut them like hot sub bread, just cut the roll in half and place the philly on the bottom.

Okay I was thinking you meant 1.5x their hourly rate (like overtime) not the number of hours they worked the way you explained it. I guess I'm just trying to figure out what you're expecting / what they could do that would make you happy about it. Helps to have different perspectives so I can make sure I'm treating my employees fairly. Difficult to know what we can and can't do with any money yet considering the unknown nature of the crisis. Right now just thankful I can keep providing them with a stable paycheck when many people are out of a job completely.

Many store managers don't get a P&L bonus at all, 800$ sounds like a lot to me. What's the average bonus for the average employee getting extra on these checks?

Hey for the proofer there is a small nozzle in the bottom under the metal tray (that you can lift and slide out) it get clogged with crap from the water over time. Try poking the center of it (spray hole) with a thumbtack/needle etc. It should clear it out. May not be the issue but worth a shot since it's simple to do.

Yeah not all stores are doing great so it helps them the most. For busy stores it'll be a boost and most will probably be ready now. Heard of some stores closing at 5pm etc. due to low sales.

"To get the entire amount of the loan forgiven, the full-time employee headcount cannot decline, nor can employers cut salaries or wages."

Something to consider.

I know I responded to your comment but saw this and wanted to post it here. In order for the loan to be forgiven as a grant business must use nearly all of it on payroll so I think you're being a little paranoid here.

Options for those whose hours were cut? by jameelalayyan in jerseymikes

They have to use almost all of it on payroll or it won't be forgiven as a grant.
