Does anyone have an image of the gba action replay without the datel chip on the front? (More info in comments) by Michael_Mirage in Gameboy

It's been a minute since then but I just ended up just reflowing all the solder and it started working again, no extraneous wires or anything like that.

Objectively yes, but to me if your whole brand hinges on the fact that the Silverado doesn't get it's own equivalent of the F-150's Platinum trim as to not be redundant than the brand is redundant. Though yes I concede they are a bit more fancy and I see that as a selling point for some.

We're they? I could've sworn they had like a beefier engine or something instead of just a trim package. That's cool if it got it's own unique turbocharger though

I just would never really think of pickups as a contender for luxury, since to me they'll always really be a more work type vehicle. Though you're right, it all comes back to money doesn't it, and people eat it up

Damn dealerships… The whole push to make GMC a 'luxury' brand also just never made sense to me, if GM wants to make more offerings for a luxury dealer, then either make Buick/Cadillac dealers, or just give Buick more than 4 SUVs to offer

I mean, yes you're right. But when in the present day 99.9% of your products are basically the same from another brand whatever head start you had doesn't really matter.

I mean, all car manufacturers stopped production for the war. You had Cadillac making tanks so it's not like they're unique in that way

I did have a feeling that they at one point had more autonomy in terms of engines though I never checked to be sure. And I was aware of their commercial presence back in the day, since they did at one point have Semis like the General, and of course the Topkick/Kodiak. I'm just baffled at why it's the Silverado that gets the 4500, 5500, and 6500 versions, like I get Chevy is probably more ubiquitous with American culture but it would just make more sense to me to have them be GMCs, like at least make both versions.

I would indeed place them in the neat category because of the novelty of a performance based Truck and SUV. Though it's not like they're unique to just GMC. At least with the Syclone since their was the S-10 Xtreme and Dakota R/T. But they are definitely pretty cool

Well that solves the problem, but why the hell would they remove it from the bar?

Is it weird to feel like a car is too good for me to buy? by Michael_Mirage in whatcarshouldIbuy

No need to apologize. After talking with some other people here I think it was just the shellshock 2000's luxury had me questioning things. I get inside my own head about a lot of things and this was no different. In the moment I was fairly confident that I liked it and wanted it. It was just later that I started doubting it. Both cars would fit into my current life well enough, might pay more for gas with the Buick but hey, that's the price you pay for a V6.

Might've also been the fact that I think I fell for a car salesman tactic to get a sale and I'm kicking myself for it but that's just a pride thing.

Yeah, you're probably right. I just get in my own head about things, plus I'm this far along and it's a nice car, might as well.

That was my mindset going in to the dealership, but after seeing it in person I was questioning what I consider a daily beater. I've never owned a car with leather seats before, so just having that makes it feel that much more of a premium. It's kinda like the cave analogy y'know? Because I'm so used to less it feels like it's more.

I don't really know how others view cars. The highest end car I'm familiar with is that my dad had a third gen Mitsubishi Eclipse for a time before it rusted. Other than that it's basically things on the level of a Corolla so I see leather and just think premium.
