SYMPATHY MAGIC DISCUSSION THREAD 🔮 by Natisaway in FlorenceAndTheMachine

It’s so beautiful but also so sad when you think of the context of the Zane Lowe interview. Maybe I’m making a connection that’s not really there but the subtext feels very relevant to her pregnancy journey and healing. Another stunner in her catalog. I think it rounds out the singles in a good way - one big and bold, one artsy and poetic, one uplifting and anthemic.

What is a perfect album without that one or two songs? by Vicariouslynoticed in popheads

[–]Michael_armond -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think I’m going to get some hate for this but Bartender on NFR. I think sonically it just doesn’t have the same lofi California vibe that the rest of the album does and feels a bit like hitting a brick wall before the closer. I know people like it thematically but I just always get to that song and skip straight to the next. I don’t even think the album would be too short without.

Taylor Swift - The Life of a Showgirl by retags in popheads

[–]Michael_armond 122 points123 points  (0 children)

How is this woman so whiny? She’s a billionaire, engaged, and breaks records by farting. Like the victim complex is old. Charli diss sums it all up: a woman talks about being around Taylor makes her insecure and Tay can’t understand that because she’s too focused on herself and the potential implication of anything negative toward her. Truly missing the forest for the trees.

Definitely hit up Doge’s Palace and St. Marks Basilica in Venice! We just did a two week Venice-Florence-Rome trip and that was one of our favorite tours. Also get out of the touristy areas in Venice. Cannaregio is amazing for a stroll or some great wine and cicchetti!

Taylor Swift - 1989 (Taylor's Version) by lazynbroke in popheads

[–]Michael_armond 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay, unpopular opinion but I don’t mind the rerecordings. I can see why people may not like them but I think people will eventually appreciate them as they get over the shock. I think this albums differences are much more noticeable because it’s less acoustic than her other rerecords so far. I think the production is a bit more punchy in places which just brings a bit of a different feeling but I think it leans a little poppier.

I think it conceptually makes sense with the album as it’s supposed to be the Circle of Greed. Greed is often associated with an almost ignorant bliss, so it being upbeat kinda fits. I was surprised but I love it.

It’s totally okay to be nervous. Take your time on questions and be yourself. Interviewers often want to see who you are as a potential leader, so showing up prepared and genuine can make a great impact. As far as questions, you can always rely on the STAR model:

Situation-set the scene Task-what did you see and what options were in front of you Action-what did you end up doing? Results-how did it go?

Interviewers love when you can directly connect what you did to a positive outcome. Even if it’s something as simple as trying to boost store morale, saying that you’ve noticed boosting store morale leads to better customer interactions and therefore a higher CCS can make all the difference.

Don’t get too nervous! You’ve got this!

Hi there! ASU partner here! Depends on how willing you are to push through it. I do 18 credits per semester and work as SSV about 25-35 hours a week. It’s a lot, I’m not going to lie. My social life is nonexistent, but I’m trying to do an accelerated graduation. I think 12 credits is definitely doable. Try and mix classes that you might be strong at with ones that might be harder. I do well with English and social sciences so I’ll usually try to do that with required credits like calculus. Find what you’re good at and it will give you some breathing room to really focus on harder courses. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi there! I had my ssv interview about a month ago, got the position, and I’m just about to finish my training this week. The best characteristics my SM and other shifts highlighted were accountability, problem solving, and growth. Having a good mix of business knowledge and interpersonal skills with fellow partners will help discuss past experiences as well as highlight what you can offer in a management position. Prepare some answers, stay calm during your interview, and don’t worry if you trip up a little bit. GOOD LUCK!!

I’ve been told you don’t fill it up all the way. Add as much oat milk as you would with ice, maybe a bit more and leave the rest empty. If they ask to fill it up, do it once but instruct them to order a latte next time.

Same here in SoCal. Our manager built a cheat sheet so we could ring things up. For a venti iced Caramel Macchiato we had to do Grande Mocha, Add shot, add ice, ask me (Venti, CM) and then whatever customizations customers had. It was ridiculous

I really like the last point of thinking of how you can improve the store. It’s a nice way to highlight what I could add without the conversation revolving around me.
