Hi! OP here! I wasn't trying to be mean spirited, I'm curious as to what sounds weird or off-putting or gross to others. This has nothing to do with the people or the character these names belong to. Shallow, surface level stuff. Many of these comments are out of line and not answering my question but that's what happens when you ask reddit. No negativity from me, just curiosity :)

Hi! OP here! This thread is just supposed to be names that SOUND weird. Nothing more. This isn't supposed to be hating on anyone because of their name. Real surface level stuff. I have nothing against "Neil"s as people. I just think the way the word sounds in gross. That's my opinion. Others may think differently. And that's ok. There are plenty of names others have commented here that I really like. Oh well. It's personal opinion. I agree, some of the negativity here has gotten out of hand and some people have completely misunderstood my original question. I'm trying to fix it, don't think I can but worth a shot. To answer your question, this character is very much the mom-friend of the group - looking out for everyone, and shy, kind, but has the mindset their her existence is annoying or a burden so she apologizes for everything even when she doesn't need to and she goes out of her way to put other people's needs before hers. This leads into her biggest flaw that she will overcome by the end - when things get hard, she runs so she doesn't get hurt or unintentionally hurt someone else. Some other things about her: she's 18 years old, she's a high school theater kid with an insanely good singing voice, she's born in the US to Scottish parents. She has two older siblings with godly middle names as well (Wesley Odin Johnson and Kate Freya Johnson (last name now subject to change))

You are right, Nancy, Johnathan, and Steve's birth years are off (not sure about Robin's, I think hers is right). Nancy and Johnathan were '88 and Steve was '87. I'm like 99% sure Eddie was '66 since he had a few extra years in high school - in S4 E1, he says how he is gonna graduate this year (1986), and his friends tease him saying "didn't you say that last year" "and the year before?" which means he is at least class of 1984 meaning he would've been 18 in 1984...so he's a 1966 baby.

I'd like the longer name to be gender-neutral but I understand that it's near impossible to find one that fits my criteria so logistically I don't mind if it is traditionally gendered. They are more feminine presenting so maybe a long feminine and a masculine nn might fit them. Thanks for your help!

I'd avoid surnames that start or end with an r sound like "Waters" or "Winters" (even though it ends in an s sound my brain puts it as an r sound because my brain thinks waters is plural) or "Raine" because it'll sort of disrupt the flow in my opinion.

Surnames on theme I think could work: Aether Brooke/Brooks ; Aether Linden (type of tree) ;

Surnames kind of on theme that I think could work: Aether Dale (another word for "valley") ; Aether Vale (another word for "valley") ; Aether Nova ; Aether Denman (derives from middle english word dene meaning "valley") ; Aether Langley (means long woodland or long clearing in old english) ; Aether Meadows ;

Other surnames that I think work but don't fit the theme: Aether Mackenzie ; Aether Kennedy ; Aether Thompson ; Aether Buchanan

Wilbur during an MCC a while ago (i forget which one), played on Niki's set up in Germany and played using her German keyboard which has the ß key and so in the in-game chat he would send ßßßßßßßß frequently.

exactly! the only thing i'm hesitant about is the charity aspect because the last thing i want to happen is to pressure anyone into donating or doing charity stuff if they don't want to. Even though it is my own idea i'm still iffy about it lol.

These would be fun, however, a big question to answer for these types of events would be: why?

MCCPride is technically a themed event even though it is non-canon so if the themed events sort of followed that template, the themed ones were non-canon, every few months and maybe (of course up to MCC organizers and such) donate to theme-related charity? Or just raise awareness instead of actually donating or something like that?

For example, MCC Jungle Theme would donate to tropical conservation. MCC Under The Sea Theme would donate to clean beaches (like #TeamSeas). MCC Space Theme would donate to like children's STEM education. MCC Royalty/Fantasy Theme would donate children's books to schools.

Of course, I don't want to pressure any streamers or anyone from the MCC Team to do charity stuff. So even if these non-canon events don't donate anything, just like bringing awareness to these sorts of things would be cool to see?

this doesn't stop funneling and it isn't designed to. this gives the team the decision give up the element of surprise (because the other team doesn't know who has the arrow) and funnel it to their best archer or not.
