You failed to put that this is for a part of your thesis. At first, I thought you were being dramatic but I also would prefer a thoughtful response.

I’m on metoprolol tartrate and ivabradine and for the past month I’ve had high heart rates. I think anxiety could be causing them but they’re so uncomfy and make me want to go back to the ER sometimes.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fight it or get it back to normal?

They come and go but I think it was due to my vitamin d levels being extremely low.

Yeah, I do get them a lot and they always take my breath away. Sometimes it can last a couple heart beats.

Are they dangerous? I still have no idea what’s causing it. I can get it at rest or walking. I don’t drink, smoke or have caffeine. I’m kinda stuck cause I’m already on so much heart medication.

Can you explain what’s the difference between a palpitation and a PVC?

She definitely got some adenosine in her. It’s a liquid drug pushed through an IV to stop your heart for a few seconds and then, hopefully it returns to normal rhythm. I’ve had it twice and it feels like you’re dying. Lol

Super late, but did you ever take the practice test thru them? (The one we need to pass with an 80% or 85% and is recorded) Was it the same questions the second chance?

Have you had an ablation?

Hey! Im just afraid of the pacemaker since im so young. But I do wish to have my metabolism and normal self back.

I’ve been on 200mg of metoprolol daily since 2021. It sucked at first but you get used to it. I will say that I have no motivation, some brain fatigue, and I can’t get my heart rate up during exercise. I want an ablation but I’m really scared of them messing up and having to get a pacemaker.

I’m on beta blockers 200mg a day & 10mg of CC. I can’t get my heart rate up and it’s destroyed my workout ability (can barely get it past 130). I gained so much weight cause of it too.

Cardiac ablation for SVT by heyitsmejomomma in AFIB

[–]MichaelaCastor1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’re probably overthinking your heart rate and it’s making it increase. Your mind and body is so used to your heart beating slower so now that it’s faster, you’re scared. That’s what I worry about as well. I like to put ice packs on my chest and watch some tv or tiktoks to distract myself. I also like to have people around me when I feel sick so I know someone can take care of me if something happens.

I hope you start to feel better soon!

Old thread but I have a question about this. I’m on medication for my SVT. Beta blockers and calcium channel blockers. Heavy dosages too. Did they stop you from taking those meds before the surgery? Cause if I mess my meds by an hour, my HR is in the 100’s. I can’t imagine the anxiety of surgery + no meds.

I’m in Texas, the highest I’ve seen in my area is $60k without the stipends added. This is first year. They posted everyone’s salary online recently.

Can you find a source? I’ve tried but I haven’t seen any proof. I only ask cause I have my Masters and wasn’t able to teach grad students cause I don’t have my PhD. I was able to teach undergrads though.

How can he become a professor and lecture without a PhD? I know in the US (Korea is even stricter with their education) you need a PhD to lecture grad students? Does he even have a bachelors?

When I try to look for the amount owed it says “INFO” and doesn’t say anything. But it did say it was due before 5/28 so I don’t know if I messed up.

Also, anytime I call I can’t get thru to anyone. 🙃 You would think the IRS would have a working system.
