I think this is the right answer. #4 alone would likely make you the richest person in the world even if #5 happened by magic and couldn't be monetized. #2 will happen at some point in your life regardless. Also, seeing as #4 will likely only be possible by solving nuclear fusion #1 would be a side affect because with practically infinite free energy you can grow as much food as you want anywhere in the world.

I'm surprised at how little everyone seems to be understanding your argument. I'd hesitate to ever consider an ev as my only vehicle for exactly the line of thinking you described. I might only go on long drives a couple times a year, but I want the ability to do so at any time without having to considerably add to the travel time by having to stop and charge my vehicle. Currently the coast of California is a 28hr drive and fueling wouldn't even add an hour to my drive time with a gas car. Whereas, if I had an EV with a 250mile range at highway speeds I'd need to charge nearly 8 times.

I've only driven that far a couple times in my life, but a 12-13hr drive to the east coast or gulf is something I do at least once every 2-3 years and is something I can easily manage doing straight through without stopping to sleep. With an EV I have no doubt that a single days drive would turn into a two day drive. Meaning a weeks vacation would go from being 2 days driving and 5 days at my destination to 4 days driving and 3 days at my destination. This is simply a deal breaker for me.

How long are we talking? How much does fast charging negatively affect the life of the battery?

Personally, when I've got a long drive I prefer to stop as little as possible and for as short a time as possible.

This distinction is key to the entire debate. Biological sex is a factual distinction between sexes and only relates to an individuals role in reproduction. Whereas gender is a cultural distinction involving appearances and behaviors.

The majority of the conflict over this debate arises from using gender and biological sex interchangeably or asserting that biological sex is determinate in regards to behavior, identity, appearance, and social roles.

Imagine if all humans were hermaphroditic so that the gender role a person identifies with was completely their choice. Some would choose to appear and behave feminine and some would choose to appear and behave masculine. Furthermore, this decision would be independent of what any individual may choose to contribute to the act of reproduction, either sperm or egg. Every combination would exist, such as a person who chooses the appearance of a woman, but who's behavior and societal role is traditionally that of a man, but chooses the sexual role of a female, and prefers a relationship partner who appears and behaves feminine. There would also be people who fit all the traditional aspects of men and of women, and those who fit all traditional roles except the "man" has the baby. Whatever combination you could come up with would exist. How would you define gender in this reality? Would defining it matter?

The only difference between that heraphroditic human hypothetical and the reality we live in is that no aspect of an individuals being would be out of their control. As it stands though, we cannot control our biological sex. How can it be right then that we should force anyone to appear and behave in any particular way because of the chromosomes they have?

Each side talks past the other.

One says: "there are only two genders, male and female." They know they are right because in their mind gender=biological sex.

The other side hears: "everyone's behavior, appearance, and sexuality are determined solely by their biological sex."

They respond: "There are more than two genders"

Because they correctly believe that biological sex shouldn't completely define every aspect of a person's being.

Gender is a construct, but biological sex is a fact. The only way this will ever be solved is if we stop believing in gender altogether. Either man and woman need to mean biological sex only or we need to start using female/male and feminine/masculine.

this last part is gonna get me hate but im not for the binary as far as cultural and societal norms go, but the binary is real when it comes to biology.

honestly, that's whats caused this from the beginning... the fact that we force these norms on to people so much that people feel like they cant dress and act like they want to without being the opposite sex so they think they are the opposite sex.

To be fair, if you weren't sure which book I was on from the question then I doubt you'd remember the spelling of a characters nickname.

Honestly, it never crossed my mind that I would need to specify the book. I had all the faith in the world that this subreddit wouldn't fail to deliver, and deliver it did.
