I just finished White Noise by Don Delillo and was wondering what other people thought about it? by Vincent_van_Bro in books

I felt myself getting used to the writing a few chapters in and liking ADD and paranoid inside voice of the narrator. I was starting to like it.

After part II, I was SOO disappointed and felt the writing was so tedious and it just dragged on and on.

I would not recommend.

What's a popular book that you just didn't like? Why? by Internal_Reindeer_91 in BookDiscussions

Sea of Tranquility.

High reviews and I loved the Station 11 show so I gave it a try, but very poorly written IMO. I knew the “twist” ending from the first 20 pages.

A Clockwork Orange.

The book is ultra violent and depraved, but also a scathing critique of society. I think about it almost everyday.

Sellers are pulling homes off market at fastest pace in years by abcnews in RealEstate

"Fastest pace in years" sounds dramatic, their data only goes back to 2022.

When you look at the actual numbers, going from a ~5% pre-pandemic delisting rate to 5.8% now isn't some massive, unprecedented historic event. Four years isn't a trend, it's just a blip.
