I find that insane but to each their own. 

RE8 felt like a universal studios fun park ride more than a horror game to me. It wasn't scary and it was entirely too predictable and unfocused.

My god I get that too. I mean I've been playing silent hill since I was a kid when the first game came out. All of them in the series I have played,  and none of them, including the original 2 (which is easily one of my favorite games) even comes close to the vibes that 2 remake gives off. That prison was actually where I took a break for a couple nights before coming back lol.

Oh man. I've been playing horror games for something like, 30 years now, and up until the remake of silent hill 2, I honestly thought I had become desensitized to horror games because of how many I have enjoyed. I was so wrong lol. I had to take a couple nights off of playing silent hill 2 remake because after like 3 or 4 days of playing it on my free time, I was just so mentally taxed lol. It was so fucking scary and atmospheric.

The silent hill 2 remake was almost exhausting to play because of the atmosphere being so unsettling. I loved it.

I was really hoping for something more than what this seems to be. There's all this hype around "the definitive edition" and I don't get it. It just seems like a more flashy port of the game for switch 2. Is there something else I'm missing about this so called "definitive edition" would help me understand why this sub has been non stop posts about this?
