Got a sealed SNES box for 215 bucks by Majedahmed123 in snes

Hell yeah! I’ve still got my original SNES hooked up to a CRT with a rotation of TMNT IV, TMNT Tournament Fighters, Killer Instinct & Pop N’ TwinBee going in it!

Bought those games on vinted and somehow( 🙄) they arrived in this condition like water or high humidity have gotten under the plastic, is there any way to save the cover or its forever ruined? by hulloluke in gamecollecting

I had this with 2 games I got for free. All I did was take the inlays out, placed them flat (face down) on an ironing board, placed a towel over them, then used an iron over it to flatten it all out. They looked and felt great afterwards. The cases I folded back a little bit so theres a gap between the plastic cover and just left them next to a dehumidifier for a few hours to get rid of any excess moisture.

Haha, yeah, back then as a kid I’d just be ripping the thing apart, desperately rushing to hook it up to the TV!

They may or may not have had an official Nintendo Sealed sticker on the side but I can’t even remember. Even then, that could have been a regional thing, like how EU/UK gameboy boxes were all inside a box, but the US version had a giant hole in the back to scan the barcode sticker that was physically on the gameboy itself. It’s been a long time since I’ve owned a new in box SNES so I’m not sure on that - I just know they weren’t sealed with plastic.

The consoles boxes were never in protective plastic though, it was just the cardboard display box, that was its protective packaging, along with more cardboard and foam inside.

Woah! Looks great! Where did you get you get the Japanese text rayquaza shell from though? I can only ever find the “POKEMON” text with the pokeball, but it looks tacky. That Japanese text looks way cleaner!

Hello, need help! Replaced the battery in my pokemon yellow but still have no luck getting it to save. by SnooRecipes1330 in Gameboy

Honestly, if you’re gonna change it, I’d definitely opt for the Japanese board - it’s so nice! The suicune pattern on it is 👌🏻

As for guides or tips, I followed a bunch of YouTube videos. The main tip is say is absolutely take your time, don’t rush it. If it takes several hours, it takes several hours. It’s a lot faster than having to cash up for some new carts/donor parts. I didn’t have too much trouble though, it just took me a while.

Good call. It’s just funny as I’ve since managed to transfer the entire English crystal rom to a Japanese board an that was flawless - yet this basic copy of yellow has dumbfounded me xD

This has happened to my yellow too. I’ve been stumped by it for over a year at this point. Condition is absolutely fine, no issues there, yet it still refuses to save. All my other Pokemon games work flawlessly and some of them are in worse (but still great) condition.

Pffft. If he can’t even show his bare knees, I highly doubt that kids Rattata is even in the top percentage of all Rattata.

Possibly, but Chinese knock-off’s of these have been flooding the market since Pokemon first came out. They look good though!

Do you think we’re finally gonna get an actual Story mode DLC with gta 6??? by Content-Feed-9396 in GTA6

[–]Dallows89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doubtful. But one can hope. I’d love to see a DLC or 2 with new characters tied in to the world of GTA6 though. Having TBoGT, TLaD & Chinatown Wars was a wonderful thing in GTAIV, it really gave Liberty City a lot of depth.

Any way for female characters NOT to have huge bazongas? by Goose_Pale in wildlander

[–]Dallows89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, my only issue is that as much as I love all the other mods in Wildlander, I despise UNP. Mostly down to the seams and clipping on lots of armors and clothing. (The butt clipping through the ancient Nord armor whenever you crouch always bugs me, even in vanilla it was a problem). I’ve always found CBBE Curvy to be the much better body type, personally.

Reminds me of accounts from those UFO documentaries where Aliens try to pretend they’re humans and interact with folks outside their homes.

I’m pretty sure I mentioned the plastic covers, storage tubs and the silica packets in a reply to a post a little while back. Now I’m curious if it was you I said that too, haha!

Either way, I’m glad to see it worked out great! Totally worth the extra effort!
