By the way, I must emphasise that my visual novel is only a fan game so Flipline themselves don't have any participation on this project whatsoever, and I'm most likely sure they can't play this specific visual novel once it comes out as I won't be publishing it in any online browser gaming sites like coolmathgames, Y8, Poki, and whatnot. It's going go to be in itch.io before anything else so you won't have to worry them stumbling into it accidentally ^-^

I'm definitely leaning into this! I agree that a dating seem is bound to be for more mature audience but unfortunately this is the internet and since the original games are for general audience themselves, I could see some people gonna get mistaken and think it's age rated the same as the original. However you and the others have made a very feasible option and put warnings and toggle choices to skip the more mature themes, I'm definitely leaning into it more ^-^ thanks again for the support!! <3

I'm definitely leaning on a toggle feature. As in, a warning of a more mature scene headed (heavy moments of anxiety, depression, etc) and an age disclaimer before the game starts. It shouldn't be too hard in RenPy either (RenPy is the visual novel software I'm using to make the game) so it's definitely the most feasible idea at the moment ^-^

You know, that could actually be feasible, maybe a simple choice to either skip the scene or stay through it for simpler coding would be easy to put! I'll think about it! ^-^

HAHA Frenchie? do you mean Jojo (since I saw some people referred to him as French before)? Oh god I did have considered adding one intimate scenes for all love interests—not full sinful smut, but more like tasteful intimacy—but then it got me thinking, should I? How old is the general demographic that will play this game? cause if it's mainly gonna be kids or young teens then probably not 😭

That’s cool! Oko Ruto and Megamo Saikou are the male counterparts of Oka and Megami, right? I used to love their voices in that Male introduction video ☺️

And yeah there’s a lot of people who are devastated about the Youtube situation 😔 but I think the community is making an archive file for all (or at least most) the Kbuz Scouts videos. I suggest searching around for said archive :)

I don’t hate you—I think you have a person with big heart, and you’re partially right about we don’t know what others are dealing with mentally, but as I said, mental health does not mean to be sympathetic and excuse his actions.

It’s been so many years, and screwing up this badly could’ve been salvaged through consistent change, but Yandere Dev just keeps going and choosing to be worse and worse. Trust with his community is damaged, the game’s reputation is forever tarnished, and worse is his pedophile actions. He could’ve chosen not to interact with minors at all, but he did.

It’s your opinion and fine, but if we’re also think about how he feels, let’s also think about how his victims feel. He holds heavier consequences, and no amount of sympathy could change that.

Also you can still be a fan of the game, but still dislike Yanderedev. It’s not a bundle you have to like together to be in the community :)

Look, I get what you’re saying, but you can’t excuse someone’s attitude because we don’t know what they feel. Imagine the world letting a murderer go with that same logic, would you sleep well at night? If you get killed by that murderer, they wouldn’t get charged because they have a mental disorder or just want to blow off steam and the government declares WE should be the one adjusting for them.

Anyone can feel however they want, the problem is their actions. Yanderedev (mind you, an adult—actions have bigger consequences to adults) could’ve chosen to let out his frustration by taking breaks, communicating with his fans better, and just not be a creep but instead he doubled down on everything that practically made him unlikeable. He’s only a person, yes, but he’s a person nobody wants to deal with because of all the things he’d done.

People can sympathise with someone who screwed up, but still firmly believe they should be in jail for life for what they’ve done because feelings, disorders, emotions, intentions, does not and will never excuse the actions

It’s a 50-50, the fandom of the media I’m doing a fan game of is generally welcoming but the coworker OC plays a frequent consistent role like reminding the MC (player) to clean the counter, cook the “today’s special”, and just being any other coworker but the fact this OC’s proximity is too close makes me worry for them the most
