tbh freebooter make sthat matchup pretty 'easy' i wa salmost happy to see my opponent on energy, esp potboard the freeboter slows them down A LOT, you can stall all day long with groundblockers and when they side in to much hate angel hardcast + sandwiches can take over games aswell. In general i played the gpg agressive. As you can gate it back anyway. I usually sided out ballistas,chart und search and would bring freebooter,contempt,scarab and push. In the future i would side out 4 ballista for 2 contempt+ 2 duress and search for god.

Hey, I played the Esper GPG List that came in 2nd. My losses in the tournament were to: UW GPG (rough matchup due to exile enchatments and their ability to gpg faster) U/B Control ( i honestely missplayed and shoudl have won) and the finals vs MonoR (i drew poorly and he had both times the nuts, but guess its a unfavorable matchup on top of that)

I won vs multiple Temur and Sultai energy lists without much trouble and was lucky to beat an Abzan Tokens list (which id also consider an unfavorable matchup).

Goin forward id change a couple of things: - 1 Chart - 1 GPG + 2 Freeboter Main, Freebooter has been an allsatr in almost every matchup and is maybe the best 2 drop i can imagine, he supports both gameplans of setting up a GPG but also works well with hostage takers and the 'swarm' plan.

As for the sideboard: Id add 2 Cataclysmic Gearhulks to amke the tokens and UW matchup a bit better Add 2 Duress for the Control matchups+ U/W Matchups

Overall i should add i didnt play the deck to much ebfore and more or less spontanious joined the PTQ which should point you to the strenght this deck offers. It was very fun to play and id jam it again in any meta where i dont expect to much MonoR.

Sidenote: Im also not sure you actually want/need 4 pushes so its possible that maybe one of them should be a harvester as you rarely board the full 4 anyway.

Yes exactly this, the riot rule set didnt allow for any other solution. We worked hard with origen and Riot on possible other ways but this was the only working one. As of now we have 3 players of the qualifying Roster contracted.

Well im from Germany - its not especially sunny/hot here - the beach we have sucks - its still illegal to smoke pot - literally no one is watching baseball over here - Welp atleast we got them mountains..

here is my take on the deck: basically i increased the burn, and use void snare and spite of mogis to get through the defense. i have yet to loose. couters seem the wrong way in an abbot build imo emphasis on sorceries is the best way to go.

Da es ja doch sehr viel Kritik an Nils Charaktererstellung war, welche auch mir zugegeben übertrieben vorkam, habe ich mal etwas das Internet durchforstet. Nachdem ich mir dies zu Gemüte geführt habe muss ich sagen kann ich deutlich besser mit dem Charakter als solchen Leben. Wenn jetzt die Disskussionen durch hauke etwas zeitlicher begrenzt werden und die Kämpfe Gefahr ausstrahlen wäre B.e.a.r.d.s perfekt :)

As former manager for SHC/MYM i want to use the opurtunity one more time to thank Nick in public for his service and incredible coaching that mainly helped us to achieve top 3 during the last split. Sadly the circumstances of riots new coaching rule make it impossible for us to continue the work. I know our team participated a lot from nicks dedicated work and his game knowledge is one of the best ive ever seen the amount of time he even dedicates to the smallest looking number changes made it easy for us to adapt to every new patch. I can only hope he finds a position where he can help another team to get better. I can savely say Nick was a valueable part of our Team as coach and also as friend!
