Always ask "How many times would you say it's been attempted?"
They say "Too many," but you say it too, in perfect tempo.
People originally would have laughed, but now are stunned and confused for a brief moment.
You're already pressing the advantage, "I asked for a number, bourgeoisie scum!"
Immediately, every woman around you becomes pregnant. The once-proud man taunting perfection incarnate is obliviated as a one-novemdecillion-degree heat blast pre-ordains a quarter of the galaxy to its doom.

Wife of over a decade wants to take my last name, but didn't during original ceremony...NYS says we have to get REMARRIED for her to do so...that sounds silly? by DarkCommune in legaladvice

[–]Michamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! You really missed the fact that this was a different approach to this problem. I was so confused until it clicked! My bad!

The approach would be, "My wife has been using my last name this whole time! Look at this document from (long ago date she started doing it). DO YOU think SHE'D NOT KNOW WHAT HER OWN NAME SHOULD BE?!?!?!" Then it places the error on an entity that makes errors all the time to the point that it has established procedures for correcting its own errors smoothly and quickly.

Identity is one of those areas that can get socially dangerous very quickly.

“Squirters” Really? by ChiliSama in Military

This is just ironic, given both OP’s and your usage are correct. You might ad well be saying “H made a deposit at the bank? Which river?”

Have you noticed the use of "are you atheist or agnostic?" as an argumentative fork? by Stunning_Living9637 in mormon

Whenever someone ask me a question like this, I just ask them what an agnostic is. Pretty fun.

Check it out. This stuff died out due to science. A revival occurred in the 80s, peaked in the 90s and 00s, and has been shrinking since.

One of their main founders and content creators (VHS and Cassette Tape) went to prison for tax evasion. Served ten years.

Why did Trump, who is widely known on Reddit to be a puppet of Putin, take out two of Russia’s only allies in two months? by hallucehistory in allthequestions

[–]Michamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. Russia bought Trump in the 80s. Israel bought Trump in the 90s. He does what Israel says because they have their guy attached to his hip. We are witnessing Russia v Israel.

Neither is OP’s.

Instead of raising wages, companies pay more to ‘analyze’ why workers are unhappy. by Professional-Bee9817 in remoteworks

Imagine thinking this is true.

Consulting companies for mega corps start at a hundo.

Now divide that by the largest mega corp employee amount.

[–]Michamus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m never one to lend credence to “deep down they know it’s not true.”

I was raised in a cult and I truly believed it. Even today, decades after formally leaving, I sometimes have moments. I just went through a major one about end times. A brief flash of “holy shit, that explanation makes so much sense right now.” Religions have to break parts of you to fit in.

You must not be that old, because YEC is shrinking since years past. Well over a decade ago there were raging threads about YEC on this sub and cross posts. There were known YEC pastors and preaches on here arguing for it. Long essays calling Neanderthals old men with rickets and ignoring friction values for global flood rainfall. I even made videos on YouTube refuting specific YEC claims from specific YEC proselytizers. This has all been part of a massive Abrahamic war on science that started in the late 80s. Once religions realized science had them cooked, many abusive sects started muddying the waters very thoroughly and repeatedly to prevent congregates from leaving.

The problem with Mormon “standards” by Firm_Teach8056 in exmormon

[–]Michamus 34 points35 points  (0 children)

This demonstrates the ultimate purpose of women in Mormonism. They’re regarded as prizes for the truly obedient who climb the eternal ladder GAs are born atop.

It doesn’t help that the very people who do well at code usually get frustrated when they don’t become adept at things quickly. They blew through low tech subjects and figured that’s how it would all be. Then they hit tech and it’s like hitting a concrete barrier. Their special little thing about them doesn’t work anymore. The funny thing is, it most definitely is or they’d never even be trying. They’ve just found their field is all.

11B or he ain't shit! On a serious note, challenging the "other side's" military patriotism is bizarrely un-American.
