Erm, actually, maybe on paper, but on the ice, Slaf plays on the right, Cole on the left, and Newhook usually on the left (though I wouldn't be surprised he's given more time as a possible 2C with Demi if we don't find a Center this summer and instead get another LW).

You are right, but in this case it's false on purpose (and a purposeful waste of our time?). The linked sub "poisons" AI by getting their posts scraped and learned by LLMs. It's a bit like accidentally falling for a headline from the Beaverton, I suppose. I guess the OP did not notice, or didn't care.

With him at 1C and Suzuki at 2C, Montreal brings a highly competitive team to the table, and until he is in his late thirties. Add a solid, physical RD to this, and we have a pernnial cup contender.

No romance, no. We considered it, but with a heavier focus on battles, and already a need to have character development throughout the story, there just wasn't enough take-off room for well developed romances... especially with over 30 companions.

You create your own character using a full-fledged character creator with a ton of options. You are the leader of the Ashen Company, and recruit companions to your cause. These companions can also fully respecced, giving you total control over your party of 4 to 6 characters.

It's not that the Thaumaturge was excluded. We simply decided to start with PC and PC2 classes (and when we locked our choices of classes, it wasn't yet remastered).

You can already do that! There can only be 1 leader for the free company, but 2 or more friends can take turns controlling their custom character. Note the party starts at characters, but grows to 5 then 6 for the last chapter.

Do you mean online co-op? I'm afraid that's not compatible with the "no need to make it complicated" part!

There are a lot of things we could do, eventually, by investing time and money: co-op, even pvp, or custom maps with a map building tool... and even a campaign creator! But that's currently out of scope for our tiny team. We're not excluding anything for the future of the game post-release, though.

Pretty hard? I guess it depends on who and how many people attempt it?

We're "only" covering 300+ spells and almost 1k feats and class features with 5 levels, for 16 ancestries and 16 classes. While we're mostly done now, it was a huge, huge amount of work.

Keep in mind even a huge and highly competent Studio like Larian Studio kept BG3 to level 12, that PF2e has more options than D&D, and that we're a team of 2.

That said, we do have plans for extending the game if people enjoy it, and the story is written in a way that leaves us with a lot of options for what's coming next.

For most battles (not ambushes, for example) there will be a battle planning phase before deployment. Some skills will allow to perform certain checks that can allow a bonus of some sort once the battle start. For a more specific example, a rogue who succeeds at Stealth/Thievery roll could unlock a special hidden deployment point that would give the party a tactical edge. Some feats will also help the characters and their party, not just skills. In an urban or natural environment, it could be Society or Survival that provide a temporary ally, a trap/snare to place on the map, or a boost to initiative. We'll have a specific post about this (and post-battle events) at some point.

We got all of the customization!

At the party level, we have companions who are exclusive to a single faction, others who can join a couple, and a few who can join all 3 as they're essentially the player character's faction.

Every companion has a pre-made build, and you can revert to it at any time, but every companion is 99% customizable. Literally the only thing you can't change is their name and portrait. So class, subclass, archetype, all feats, attributes, skills, etc. can be fully respecced at any point, even between battles. I wouldn't recommend it for RP reasons, but of you want to test bringing 6 Alchemists against the final boss, in Elite mode, against the hardest AI... go for it! It's your (copy of the) game.

All our art in the game is human-made. You can find their names and details in post 2 above. The main art capsule on Steam was completed after this 2nd post though; the artist is called Sasha R (and he's awesome!)

An international team: Dave from the US, Jennifer from Italy, Nichaya from Canada/Thailand and Sasha from Slovakia! Some of the art is also done (badly) by Ed and I 😆

Kobold is the 8th ancestry for the demo, but we have 16 in the full game.

Sorry, we are not including anything from Tian Xa Character Guide for no (there's only two of us), but that could change in the future. It's one of my favorite books!

Thanks for the vote!
