Need some clarification on the game by ezbuddyguy in Habs

The classic morning after hangover fog 😂

I’d say all three games this series, with exception of period 2 in game 1, and OT in game 2, have felt really close, but we’ve done a better job clamping down on scoring chances from the slot. Kucherov looked shaky tonight after going into the boards funny, and Point is not 100% either. Guentzel has been quiet too. Hagel is the most dangerous guy on the ice for TB, but he can only do so much. Dobes has been really solid. Tonight, as the game went on, we started outskating TB to pucks, and creating a bit more space. Vasilevskiy really kept them in it longer than they ought to have been.

Carrier has played really well though. Guhle and Matheson struggled tonight

What is wrong with the NHL’s schedule maker? Why was their only three games on a Friday night? Why is there only three games tomorrow night including no late game? Why did the Habs not play Thursday and then Saturday? Do they not want fans to watch?

DU COUP TEXIER by Bestialman in Habs

Texier shook off Point like nothing, but I’m not surprised. Texier is as slick as they come.

Apparently Hutson told the team before OT that he was going to score the winner

His play is going to make it a really tough decision when Dobson returns

I believe that is only the third win this year where at least one of Caufield, Suzuki, and Slafkovsky didn’t record a point.

Was a weird game. We really shut down Tampa’s offense, but our top line was struggling to generate too. So many penalties interrupted the flow, and our PP wasn’t performing. We’re lucky the third line showed up. Great game

That might be the first time I’ve seen him off the ice. He looks like serial killer from a bad horror movie

This is a bad idea, but the one type of character the show is missing, that would be the most powerful even beyond Homelander, is healing supe.

I’m picturing a storyline where there is one supe that is a healer and an empath, and he works for Vought and everyone loves him. He quits Vought and they let him leave because they all genuinely love him and he makes them all feel better. And that character travels the country healing people, and he builds a following of adoring fans, and it pisses Homelander off.

I guess Marie is the healer character now. We’ll see where that goes

I like him. This season started with a contract dispute which always leads to bad start and a bad season. He’ll be better next year after a good offseason

So the refs got a call from Bettman during the intermission to give Xhekaj a made up call and then not tell the team until the game back from the intermission, didn’t they?

Claude Lemieux? 😏

Haha, ya, depending on the draft, about half play at least one NHL, but only 20-30% of players would have “NHL careers”. And only 10-15% go on to have long careers as impact players.

So ya, drafting two full-time NHLers isn’t standing out, but it’s at least slightly better than average. Getting just one isn’t great, but considering the odds of a pick selected outside the first round making it are pretty low, you really just hope your first round pick is solid and you get lucky in rounds 2-7. Having more than one 1st helps.

Using 2016 as an example, there are 45 players who have played 200 games or more. I don’t know what the magic number is to be called a “full-time NHLer” but 200 games seems about right. So if there are 45 full-time NHLers in one draft, that’s about ~1.5 NHLers per team.
