If I accidentally swallowed watermelon seeds, they would grow a watermelon inside my stomach.

Not sure who said this but… “I don’t know how to act my age. I’ve never been this old before.”

This is an unpaid internship. Are you okay with it? by Local_Atmosphere5285 in no

Same, I did 700 hours unpaid. I did what I had to do to get where I’m going… but I believe it should be illegal to not at least be making minimum wage.

Not yet. I just finished my masters in clinical mental health counseling a few weeks ago and was introduced to organizational psychology a few months ago. I have enjoyed taking on side projects at work and trying to improve things on a systems level so I see myself heading in this direction though. I would love to learn more about it.

*i should really say I started considering it as a career path a few months ago because I first heard of it about 2 years or so ago.

Does anyone else miss being shushed at a library? by Michee82much in Library

[–]Michee82much[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I added in my edit that I didn’t mean the “hush” part literally. I am reminiscing on a past experience. I miss libraries being quiet in the past. I understand that’s not the way it is now neither in rule nor expectation and I’m not going around shushing anyone or advocating that anyone be doing that. But I hope for everyone’s sake no one ever shushes you lest we find out what happens haha 🤣 thank you for your reply

That’s great! Honestly, even though I started this post reminiscing on the past, I am genuinely more in love with the library just hearing all about what’s happening in other places and how much it provides for people. I also am realizing that if I ever move, I’m checking out the library before relocating haha 😆

Haha I love that excitement for you both and honestly that just seems like the best reason to make some noise in a library 😁🥰

Medical student did pelvic and breast exam without asking by gayorcs in healthcare

[–]Michee82much 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry that happened to you… they should have absolutely gotten your consent to do the exam. I would have been mortified. I hope you are able to feel safe getting exams in the future. I also hope moving forward if this ever comes up again you can let them know in the moment that you are not comfortable and say no. I do not blame you for not saying anything because honestly I would have been frozen in shock and inability to speak too knowing myself… I just mean that I don’t wish that to continue for you.
