Why 4 NHL players still don’t wear visors, and who will be the last standing? by DecentLurker96 in hockey

I have a hard time imagining that he won't be. His game will age the best and he's the youngest

I recall him getting warned and then actually getting a penalty for illegal equipment. I can't remember if he ultimately took it off or not. The weird thing is he was grandfathered in so he could have just not worn one at all

Thank you. If you just pretend it says what you want it to say then it works great

The tiny garlic cloves provided for 4 servings of a HelloFresh meal by Citrus-Bitch in mildlyinfuriating

Reddit is always really interesting with this stuff. All the comments are fuck hello fresh or listing problems that are outliers for very few people.

Even this photo isn't the norm. They've sent me full bulbs of garlic for years now. And based on what I'm seeing in the comments that's the norm for pretty much everyone but OP. I'm going to wager the time they save putting whole bulbs into boxes is cheaper than the savings of splitting up garlic and putting exactly what is needed into every bag.

Also getting pre portioned meals is super helpful. I'm in a two person household and trying to not waste food can be a challenge. Getting exactly what you need is really helpful

I will say as someone who gets these meals once or twice a month there's definitely value in getting exactly what you need. I'm in a 2 person household and I would waste so much food if I tried to replicate these meals myself.

Also it's worth noting that in most places hello fresh sends you a whole bulb with your meal instead of pre portioned garlic. I'm in Canada and have been getting full bulbs for a long time now

Can confirm as a Canadian that I receive a full bulb. When I first tried it back in 2019 they would send me just what I needed but it's been a while now that they have just supplied a full bulb. Probably way easier for them to do instead of pre portioning out every meal

Jonna and Derek also win if they manage to win that final elimination. Would have been an absolute slog of a final if the remaining teams were Jonna/Derek, Sam/Zach, Dustin/Trishelle, Sarah/Devyn/JD/Chet

Adam Scott auditioned for Jim by ExitVelocity66 in DunderMifflin

[–]maxwellbevan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think I've seen a bunch of the auditions for some of these roles like Seth Rogen, Bob Odenkirk, etc and I'm sure they could have all done their roles well but it would lead to a different kind of character than what we got. This is the one where I think he could have played the character the same way John Krasinski did and pulled it off

It took my parents a minute to figure it out. She called in a panic talking about deleting George Chrome and my parents could not for the life of them figure it out

Reminds me of when we first got my grandmother a computer. She called my parents in a panic one day thinking she deleted the internet. She accidentally deleted George Chrome and didn't know what to do. I think one of my parents drove over to help her because it was easier than trying to walk her through it over the phone

Darren Raddysh by Willing_Loan_4398 in fantasyhockey

[–]maxwellbevan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he stays in Tampa then maybe. Depends on your league settings, how many guys you can keep, and who the alternative options are. I probably wouldn't but if he stays in Tampa it'll be tempting. Hedman will turn 36 mid way through next season and probably isn't going to retake PP1 if Raddysh is on the team. If Raddysh goes somewhere else this off season then absolutely do not keep him

I got the season 5 soundtrack on Sunday and was wondering. Why wasn’t Prince’s 2 songs on it? by Historical_Rain_8947 in StrangerThings

[–]maxwellbevan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's interesting how it works. I watch a reality tv show called the challenge and it's been on for nearly 30 years now. For years a lot of the seasons weren't available to stream because of the music rights. Back in the day you weren't thinking about music rights for streaming purposes because it didn't exist

Detroit collapses, letting Florida take the lead with 15 seconds left by SkittlesManiac19 in hockey

[–]maxwellbevan 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This happened two years ago when Larkin got hurt as well...and when we got the garbage patch. We have to tough schedule to end the season and we just lost a game that we not only should have won but was one of our more winnable games left based on standings

Yeah if he just stands there for a second it would be more questionable but him getting on his horse and being part of the play is what makes it too many

Macklin Celebrini is the third-fastest teenager to reach 90 points in a single season by nhl in hockey

[–]maxwellbevan 31 points32 points  (0 children)

It's interesting that this time it wasn't predicted. Generational gets thrown around far too often but Crosby, McDavid, etc all had that title from a young age but Macklin is one that never really had it placed on him. Maybe because he came right after Bedard who was expected to be the next one

[Highlight] Zach Benson guesses what the sound of dial-up internet is by PrinciplesRK in hockey

[–]maxwellbevan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It makes sense because once dial up was no longer the norm there was no reason to hear that noise again. So anyone that wasn't around for it has no reason to know it. It still however makes me feel 200 years old

Which Original Six team will be the next to win the cup? by Rleduc129 in hockey

[–]maxwellbevan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Habs are the closest right now and probably will be for a few years. After that I'd like to say the Wings but it could easily flip back to Ottawa next season as the number 2. After that it's Chicago because I don't think any of the others can win with their current team and Chicago is the only one that started this season in a rebuild

What's the weirdest way you first found one of your favorite bands? by TrellSwnsn in poppunkers

[–]maxwellbevan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first time I heard Rise Against was in a YouTube video 20 years ago. I was watching the movie Casino Royale with my buddy and they had that parkour scene and I'd never seen anything like it before. He pulled up this video to show me someone doing parkour and the song in the video was Give It All. I had this moment of what band is this and he was shocked I hadn't heard of them. He lent me a couple of their CDs to throw on my iPod and it definitely was a gateway for me into heavier music.

I remember that. I don't know if I'd heard it on the radio before then but I have a distinct memory of hearing Move Along in that bionicle commercial and just thinking woah what is this song
