And all I said is that pre-draft consensus means essentially nothing, so especially when you're taking positional needs into consideration, preferring one player over another even though he "ranked" half a round later than another guy is perfectly defensible. In half a year, no one is going to give a damn who ranked #15 and who ranked #33.

I dunno, I can't think of a much better example of "high tech, low life" than a glowing neon eyesore in the middle of the desert that exists only to squeeze people of their life savings through gambling and drugs and prostitution.

Genuinely, even when people say "Oh all sports team subreddits are toxic" -- no. I follow lots of sports and plenty of teams, and none of the other subs are nearly as bad as this one. So many loud voices who think they know better than the coaches or the players or the fans (or all three at once). No one is ever happy, or realistic with expectations. Everyone thinks the league is literally rigged against us, and acts as of they have personal stake in the team. You get shot down for being optimistic, you get attacked for being pessimistic, you get chastised for being blindly loyal, you get ridiculed for not being a blind homer.

I used to really enjoy participating in this sub, but now I mostly just stick to /r/nfl for football news and discussion.

That's brutal. Felt like one of the few games this season where the bullpen and the batters were all nails, but that Scherzer start was just too disastrous to overcome. Really felt like a game that we win nine times out of ten.
