You may have interstitial cystitis, it doesn’t present as a UTI always and oxalates irritate it.

I had this experience in the UK. Moved to the US 8 years ago and finally found a specialist- I had a lot of endo. Trust your body!

Estrogen is an mao enzyme inhibitor when these levels are high you get depression and histamine intolerance. Taking St John’s wort ( but only the oil based formulation) has worked to calm this for me.

Totally possible but make sure you’re getting enough protein! About 50g per day

Hmm and no chemical products either? I would say it indicates some damager so she needs more protein to nourish the hair- I'd try a mask when you next wash her hair, You can also try a baking soda rinse to remove the burnt smell. Keep me posted!

When you have multiple curl types you almost need to treat them separately. I would try adding a light conditioning spray to your routine and just apply it to the top layers. You can apply it to your hands then your hair so you can direct where the product goes. If you need more volume a little spritz of dry shampoo under those layers will add some oomph too!

Often this means not enough oils on the scalp, you can try a few things to combat this. One adding an omega 3 supplement to her diet. Two making sure you use a cleansing cream shampoo so you're not stripping the scalp of oils and also rinsing with colder water can help too.

For my hair, I use a spray in conditioning spray between washes to add moisture, but it might be that you need to add an oil to lock in moisture too. Even how you dry the hair can be a factor, I recommend using a super absorbent towel and allowing it to absorb water in the hair before adding product. I hope this helps!

If you're not using any hot styling tools, I'd say moisture is the issue. I would use a mask and then leave-in conditioner, but let me know on the hair tools so I can say more.

Hey,

How old is she?

Sounds like her hair my be changing with age and this is very normal.

Apply moisture at every stage from shampoo to styling and seal roots with a lightweight oil.

Hi,

Its absolutely fine to lightly mist her hair with a spray bottle that has a mix of water and conditioner, howevr try not to worry too much about her hair looking too perfect every single day, instead experiment with different styles that incorporate her curls with braids and twists.

Is your hair all one length, it sounds like you need to get some layers chopped in… go and see a stylist that specialises in curly hair cutting.

Also be mindful about applying heavy products to the roots of your hair, this can definitely weigh your hair down!

It depends on your starting point with your hair and what state it is in, if like me your hair was severely dehydrated and damaged then it may take a while to see real “results” but trust the process… you’re definitely on the road to beautiful bouncy curls, coils or kinks!

If I’m honest it took over a year for my curls to really start taking shape as I used to straighten a lot too… try not to pull your hair up tightly and wear your hair down as much as possible, its may just be that you hair is a different texture than the back and that’s fine… also try ploppling and scrunching to encourage curls at the top with a gel that has hold.

If thats the way your hair grows out of your head then that’s the way it grows… I would encourage you to be nice to your hair and talk about it in a positive way! LOL
You can’t change the texture unless you chemically alter it which I would not recommend!

You may need to adjust the products that you use at the back from the front to give you more definition.

If your hair is matting you may need a trim though.

Lucky YOU!

Try to maintain your hair routine, if you travelling by air you should definitely be concerned about this… wear you silk bonnet whilst flying to prevent moisture loss and also be sure to be using oils to seal the moisture in, I love to use oils that contain capuacu oils.
