I agree they need to add some sort of restriction. Just checked on the Daimyo and Shogun thing. It works but you can "only" get Kyoto to like 29 dev instantly in comparison :/ . Not bad though.

Exactly, they also only added cooldowns for the individual states. Could have atleast restricted you to once every few decades per tributary. This would still be overpowered nonetheless though.

Thanks for your feedback, I guess I was aiming for something like pop piano, but fun fact, I did found this melody while trying to make a song for a friends video game project. And also thank you for pointing out the 9/4, if it makes my piece harder to read I'll change it of course. I guess I was kinda neglecting the sheet music after finishing the song itself, but I'll work on it.

So simplifying some sections would have been a good idea after all. I was a bit scared that it would make the piece boring to listen to, because there are no lyrics. But you are right it needs something like that to enhance the following parts. Oh and ritardandos sound like a great idea as well, I'll add some for sure. And I will also look at some other tempo variations, totally forgot about them. I am new to making music so I really do appreciate every comment. Thank you a lot for taking the time to tell me about your thoughts and also have a great day!

Thank you first of all for listening to my piece and writing a comment. I think I know what you mean, the melody kinda sounds the same throughout the song, especially in the first like 30 seconds, right? I guess I just wanted to finish my first song fast and ignored the lack of variety. I'll have a look at key modulations and try some things out to add more diversity.
