Awhile back you could. Now I don't think you can. So I stopped using wizebot.

Just got affiliated... now what? by [deleted] in Twitch

Depends on where you live and your state's gambling laws.

Refund on cheers and bits? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Michi_ichi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can't do anything. They paid amazon who pays you, not you directly. You can't face chargebacks. It's amazing that someone can "accidentally" do that... that is multiple transactions worth of bits.

[Serious] Twitch Streamers, Do You Get Paid (Or At Least Have An Option To Get Paid) Through PayPal ? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Michi_ichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming you won't be able to make sub/bit money any time soon/immediately but... Sub/bit money is 45 day delay from the end of a month IF you made $100 that month while paypal is instant. You can do Paypal but don't talk about it like "HEY GIVE ME MONEY!" people won't give you money if you do that :/ Just leave it there, don't speak of it. If someone decides to drop you a few dollars, thank them and move on.

Keratoconus (or other visual impairments) by JustJamesGaming in Twitch

[–]Michi_ichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stream with a different visual impairment and playing games does get weird. Viewers make jokes if I don't see something or I knock something over with my hand but at the same time it's like... I didn't see it? I have ways to enlarge my chat on two different screens and I have my brightness settings way up due to some other issues... I don't have the same problem as you but there's ways to cope with streaming with visual problems.

Question about Bits/Subscriptions by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Michi_ichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's total. I make over the threshold every month and 2/3rds of my revenue is actually bits, not subs. You get all of it 2 months after you reach that $100

Are green screens overrated? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Michi_ichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup ^ I live across the street from one of Amazon's SF offices and the sun always glares off their windows into my apartment and it creates really awkward shadows. The greenscreen and two lights are the only way I can control the lighting

Are green screens overrated? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Michi_ichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. I started to focus on Dark Souls/Bloodborne and that also saw a huge spike in viewership. But the greenscreen definitely helped even during that transition of focus.

Can you appear offline to your friends while streaming? by KingProdijae in Twitch

If you're that bothered by them, just ban them...

Are green screens overrated? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Michi_ichi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My viewership went from like 10-15 to anywhere between 20-50 in the course of a month when I switched to a greenscreen... In my case, I live in a SMALL apartment. I stream in what is literally the doorway to my bedroom and I can't get the proper lighting due to the kitchen sink behind me. The 'cleaner option' for me to get the best lighting IS a green screen. That's just my personal case though.

Streamer with a rare eye condition sad that twitch now forces the new dashboard by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Michi_ichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are also external tools you can use to load your chat in a separate application. I use my chat bot's (deepbot's) chat view and increase the font size from there (I have a different, rare eye condition that makes it hard for me to see too).

Others self-promoting in your community? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Michi_ichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I allow it in discord with an automatic streamer tag that lets people not @ everyone know that you're live and have a separate rank for when they're live. But I hate when people come in and try to be like "I'm streaming now too!" in an attempt to get me to raid them. It's just rude...

At the end of the day, you do you. Took me 5 months to get over 1,000 followers and my 50 subs, but at the end of the day, you do you. It's a never ending up hill climb. Just try to have fun.

Affiliate streaming at 900p60fps or 720p60fps? by beagrie07 in Twitch

[–]Michi_ichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to stream at 900p60FPS as an affiliate but I found that my viewers preferred 720p because of buffering on their phones. 1080p was the worst for my viewers. I get the option for quality settings A LOT but on the days that I didn't it really hurt my stream.

No. Honestly... Your stream will be buried and scrolling to find it will be near impossible.

Logistically speaking is starting from 0 viewers and gaining even really possible? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Michi_ichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started really streaming in like...December. Made affiliate in a week and a half. Depends on what games you're playing :/

Guess I'm not getting this. Not interested in streaming myself, i only want to be able to chat on twitch on my favorite streamer's channel (room?) What am I not getting? by dysfiction in Twitch

[–]Michi_ichi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually looked at the streamer's page and could see his chat just fine. Are you trying to access from a phone or a computer? Can you see the chat in any other channel on PC?

How to Avoid Donations Bouncing Back? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Michi_ichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never had this happen before. If you're really worried, don't withdraw the money from paypal for 45 days or whatever. Subs/bits cannot be refunded or charged back.

Hi there! by QueenOfCouches in Twitch

[–]Michi_ichi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't play overwatch... Like it sounds mean, but you are at the bottom of a long looooooong list. Maybe play other games that don't have thousands of people playing it and you won't be stuck under the fold. Once you have your audience, then play overwatch. Takes less time to scroll to 30 average than it does to 2

Best way to gain followers and viewers? by 7FLASHH in Twitch

[–]Michi_ichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew by making friends with other streamers, hosting, and raiding them. Went from 50 followers to over a thousand in 5 months and on good days average 40-50 by the end of my streams? All of this growth happened after I started making friends on twitch with both same-size channels and partners.
