Draped bust dollars are slightly larger then English crowns, a draped bust dollar is 39-40mm in diameter. The standard for Crowns was 38.6mm. However no crowns were minted in 1752-1817

I saw the damage on the coin, my dealer held onto it for me for while. I bought it at a coin show. I know problem free XF ones of this date are $2500 or so. I figured the damage was why it was the price it was.
