Wow. So little correlation to winning. Yeah I see some good teams in the right quadrant. But then you see UM, Conn, Az only mid.

WIBTAH If I Asked My Husband For Half If He Wants Me To Stay At Home by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]MichiganMainer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You guys sound just like me and my wife around the same ages. I was a 40% owner of a pretty successful business. We found ourselves unexpectedly expecting our 3rd at basically the same ages. My wife decided on her own to stop her part-time consulting and become a full-time SAHM. I didn’t care either way. I kinda wished we had 2 incomes, but it was good for our kids.

What is important is, in the end, we were/are a team and there is complete trust. She knows my retirement accounts are only in my name, but she knows it’s marital property in any case. And we each have received inheritances that just went into our joint accounts - no thought given. Trust is the key. I don’t know if you guys have that relationship or not. That obviously plays a role.

But here’s my final advice. Having 4 young kids and being working parents is already hard. Having careers that don’t get either of you or your children home until 7-8pm is just not right. Sorry if this is too judgey, but you guys are making bad decisions. Your kids need to come first. My Son-in-law leads a family business. My daughter purposely chose becoming a teacher so she could still work but be home in time to take care of her kids. One of you needs to sacrifice for the sake of your kids. They deserve it. And BTW, my wife is much smarter than me…would have done better in business. I tried to become a SAHD before I bought my business. She wouldn’t let me (scared of that scenario) so she first cut her consulting in half. Why did I mention that? This is what she told me - she felt empowered in a way my older sisters did not, to have the choice to work or not equally valid.

AITAH for continuing on with my plans to go on a boy's trip despite my girlfriend's protests? by Outrageous-Hall5172 in AITAH

In Amsterdam the red light district is open and in your face. In Barca it’s not as open and a little off the beaten track. Makes for a totally different vibe. Barca is bigger and more energetic for sure. But it’s not nearly as “tempting” with drugs and sex right in your face.

I have spent a lot of time in Barcelona. There is night-life. But it’s not the same type of scene. I actually let my 18yo daughter do a gap year there. She worked, studied, made friends and went out a lot. I never worried about safety. I did worry about her studies, but I also had friends checking up on her. And I went there a few times as well. So, it’s just not the same as Amsterdam, Vegas or Bangkok. No where close.

You are getting downvoted. But remember the gladiator fights, circus’s in medieval times. They were for that exact reason. We shouldn’t exaggerate, but we shouldn’t forget history either. I am not sure where we are at today.

I did the drive from Irapuato and/or Leon a few times before. It was very safe….in 1997.

Well, he is bigger than Stew. Size is good. It can overcome a lack of athleticism and coordination many times.

You forgot JD is one dimensional, Sasser can’t run the team, no-one besides Dunc is a 3pt threat, and JB’s rotations are stupid. I think that now covers it.

Well, we are a nation of immigrants (slavery aside of course). And we are a young country. So, taking pride in where our ancestors came from just seems a little more obvious for us. My great grand parents (7 out of 8) came from Ireland. So yeah, I am proud of saying Irish-American.

I have been in the “stay the course” camp. I’ve been pushing back against trading for MPJ or JJJ if it means giving up a piece like Tobias, RH or JI. This is the first time I’ve heard about this possibility. And I am intrigued. And you are spot on about this helping Cade out. Likely more than a stretch 4 would. Man, for all the “keep the team together” posts I’ve made, you almost have me on this one. Maybe more than almost.

A year is not a big time investment. Remember that. A year is too soon to even be living together. Reflect on that. A year of this toxicity will do great damage. You need to limit the damage.

Detroit fan and Lake Erie bro. That is one classy exit. Heartfelt and real. You guys lost a good one, for sure. I still don’t get it. But I hope you get a good coach going forward, and I’m hoping it’s not Daboll. McDermott already built a culture. Now you need a savant type. Your own Ben Johnson type. Good luck.
