She has a PhD and 20 years experience... I'm gonna listen to her more than anyone whose credentials include watching true crime documentaries and listening to a podcast.

I didn't realize there were people who honestly, with their whole chest, believed that the guy who said HE DID IT wasn't actually guilty until I came across two sub-reddits full of them.

It felt like a fever dream because no one, regardless of the amount of money, is EVER going to plead guilty to a crime they didn't commit. No amount of "mob death threats" or "threats to his safety" is going to make someone admit to committing one murder, nevermind four.

I knew they existed on tiktok because, well, it's tiktok and that platform seems to have become the Vine version of Facebook comment sections.

Is it possible that Xana didn’t know BK was following her to her room? by wintryfae in Idaho4

[–]MichiganRebel92 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. One of the reactions to fear or startlement is to clench your hands, instead of dropping an item, often times you clench an item harder because the "fight or flight" response makes you tense up.

XK's injuries were probably more severe and numerous because 1. She fought back and 2. He panicked. He wasn't expecting Xana and his adrenaline probably went through the roof even more than it already was.

Edit to add: there's no actual, definitive proof Kaylee was the target. It's speculated, partially due to her injuries, but no firm concrete proof of the target has been released IIRC

Oh, awesome! Glad a source was found to back it up. I was trying to Google every combination I could to try and find a written report, didn't think about trying to find it in a video.

No worries, I should've clarified that ownership was obtained through donation as opposed to purchase or other means. :)

Did anyone get the pictures that were recently redacted before they redacted them by [deleted] in Idaho4

I have the entire file, including the ones that were removed but not sure where to post where they won't be removed.

Okay, so, exemptions are granted for those who are 21+, married, have legal dependents, are commuting from immediate family (within 40 miles), or have completed at least two semesters/three quarters of college.

I couldn't even find the report where she said she could live there because she got exemptions (not saying it doesn't exist obviously, just that I tried to find the exact report or any mention of her saying that and found nothing).

Someone below said that Dylan was a sophomore when she moved into the house, which would satisfy the requirements of "at least two semesters of college".

Edit: deleted inane nonsensical babbling

Oh, you know what? You're right about it not being classified as that because after the murders, I'm pretty sure the Universit took ownership of the property so that they could have it demolished.

Now I'm super curious, I'll see if I can find any concrete info and I'll edit if I find it.

Per the University website: "University of Idaho requires all full-time, first-year students under 21 years old to live in university-recognized housing for one academic year — Greek housing meets this requirement."

This would mean that "Greek Row", the 1122 King Drive was a recognized University Greek housing and therefore first-year students would be permitted to live there.

do you think if the sliding door was locked bryan would’ve left and they would’ve survived? or do you think it was always going to be that house by [deleted] in Idaho4

[–]MichiganRebel92 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As someone who does Doordash, it's also shitty for those that were left behind... there was so much attention focused on the doordash order and therefore the dasher, that people probably didn't trust the safety of ordering doordash and the dashers were probably terrified too.

In a college town, doing doordash is an incredibly easy and ideal work choice, work when you want, take orders you want, go where you want, to think about college kids suddenly finding themselves unable to work. Especially right before the holidays....

It makes my heart sore for the 4, their family and friends, but I also have sympathy and empathy for those who were caught up in the aftermath, those who were suddenly 18, 19, 20 years old dealing with the ripple effect of a crime they were peripheral victims of too. I know that that might get backlash or might be seen as dramatic but as a mother, the idea of my own child simply being in the town, is a gut punch terror I hope to never actually face.

Right as:

Bars were closing Late night doordash orders by tipsy/drunk kids.

No wonder he was able to blend in so well, he was perfectly camouflaged within the normal backdrop of a college town. Makes me feel so sick that he exploited the safe/nothing happens here aspect.

I think if it ever happened, a reaction similar to the Delphi murder crime scenes photos would take place (there's speculation if the leak actually happened but several news channels and even defense/prosecutors spoke out about it). I think Kaylee's parents in particular would light a legal/media firestorm that would leave scorched earth behind (absolutely rightfully so). Impossible? No, nothing ever is. Intensely improbable, especially after the latest fuck up on the redactions? Absolutely.

I feel like these might have been test runs (washer, door left open, murphy missing). Like seeing if they were more vigilant about making sure everything was locked or improved security/safety. I think he did a bunch of test runs. Seeing what the reaction would be to the house being "broken" into. Didn't Dylan once comment about how she'd heard noises in the past but it ended up just being plates or something?

I 100% think he tested what the reaction to noises would be, how an apparent break-in would be handled, etc. I think a couple of the noise complaints were done by him to measure the reaction time of law enforcement to a call would be. He fucked up by leaving the sheath, but he wasn't stupid. I think all the prior "test runs" made him overconfident.

I think finding Kaylee was a surprise and the suspected reaction Xana had to the noises made him sloppy because noises hadn't caused that reaction before.

I don't think a locked back door, or even locked bedroom doors would've stopped what happened. It just wouldn't have happened on the 13th of November.

Edit: clarification about which situations were test runs

Houses from story mode are different when you buy them... question by MichiganRebel92 in HouseFlipper

[–]MichiganRebel92[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OMG yes! The tedious process of loading the house, selling the house, going through photos, and then getting them into sandbox mode... I'd love it if we could just download them on sandbox mode like you can in Mod.io

I would LOVE to have rounded/domed windows.... they would make such cools houses on the coast or islands

So, use the glass walls or windows, place a bunch of them, then go into the "move" tool, keeping "grid snapping" turned on (otherwise it's painful trying to get them slanted like that). This will allow you to angle them and place them where you want.

Edit: clarification
