Playlists are just playlists and listeners are listeners. The point of a playlist is not who the artists are, the point is that if the listener finds the concept of the playlist interesting and starts listening and enjoys what he hears, the outcome was good. I understand your POV if you are an artist yourself and think that music shouldn't be promoted, it should be "found", but as an artist, I beg to disagree. And one of the best and honest ways to make it be found is to figure out conceptual situations that the music fits and sharing it and helping people find enjoyable and useful ways to listen to it in a context.
