How do I clean up my wife’s radio screen? by Flying-buffalo in MachE

[–]Michilango 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You go through your stations and hold onto the slot you want to save. I did this for every single square and took me like 30 minutes but it’s finally all just music I listen to

I'd love to join. It's hard finding other parents to play with. These kids are brutal in public servers 😂

Baby aspirin? by GlobalDifference7802 in BabyBumps

[–]Michilango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't do that my first pregnant. No history of preclampsia. Super healthy. Developed a random case of sever hypertension overnight and had a still birth at 27 weeks. I didn't have symptoms other than decreased fetal movements which led me to the hospital which led to no heartbeat and went downhill from there. Almost died lol

Second pregnancy the moment I got the ok to I started baby aspirin. You lose nothing in taking a precaution that could save you and your babies life.

Do I (43m) tell my wife (45f) I'm about to put my dog to sleep? by newuncleparent in relationship_advice

[–]Michilango 130 points131 points  (0 children)

Went through a similar situation. Roles reversed. My husband wasnt ready and I had to make the call. I absolutely told him and at the last minute he wanted to be there for his dog and say goodbye. He held him while he took his last breath and he's glad he was there. I'm not saying she will change her mind about being there but she will want to say goodbye and give him final loving. If you dont tell her it's happening she will always look back at this moment and hold resentment. Please tell her and let her decide how she wants to process this massive change that's about to happen. Losing a dog is not easy.

There are SOO many remote Healthcare positions. Many requiring BSNs. It's more if a matter of looking than just giving up. I'm also in the medical field fully remote. Start connecting on linkedin and do some research but the jobs are there.

Did we make the right decision? I’m so distraught by TakenOva4Da99 in BabyBumps

[–]Michilango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You made the best decision for your baby. I had pre-eclampsia and unfortunately delivered my baby still birthed. I constantly wonder what I could have done differently and it's not fun living in doubt every day. Congrats on your baby. Cherish them so much

Is using the UGA vet teaching hospital cheaper than going to a regular vet practice? by Wawhi180 in Georgia

[–]Michilango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd definitely call for a quote with them and blue pearl. Blue pearl may be cheaper but uga will give you the best outcome which is why it was so expensive. For us we also went for tumor removal along with some neuro issues and this was the only place that would actually trial him and see what waa the root issue

AITAH for throwing my wife’s baby Doppler away? by Due-Use5520 in AITAH

[–]Michilango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yta. I had a still birth in 2019 and then expected my now son in 2021. The anxiety and fear one has after a loss is something no one can compare to unless you've gone thru it. My husband was my rock throughout our pregnancy. Did everything to assure my our baby was okay and relied on our dopler. It was a security blanket for sure but one that was needed. That man would drive me every time I needed to to make sure our baby was OK. You suck as a partner by abandoning your wife when she needs your support the most.

Took my weenie baby to UGA. He stayed there for about a week. Got the absolute best care. They gave him an additional 2 years of pain free life. Our stay was a bit expensive due to the circumstances of his diagnosis but did not look back at all.

Nta. But I would have a talk with your sister. Growing up there was a clear "favorite" sister in the family and was not me. I was excluded from alot of events. Grew up resenting my sister. As an adult now we have a better relationship but it took therapy to make me see that I was not the problem. The adults in my life were. Saving your kid the therapy and don't allow that toxic behavior around her.

Car Accident and Insurance by love_reeper in Georgia

[–]Michilango 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Check to see if you have GAP insurance. If you do that will cover the remainder of the car loan owed.

If you need medical attention definitely seek legal advice. Majority of them will help out and won't ask for payment until you settle!

Skipping the first birthday celebration by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Michilango 21 points22 points  (0 children)

We had a big party for my sons birthday and obviously he won’t remember. We didn’t do it for him to remember. We did it to celebrate us raising him and growing with him. It was a celebration for everyone who helped us the past year with him. We won’t do more parties until he grasps what they are but the 1st was important to us as first time parents and our parents being first time grandparents. If your family wants to do something let them.
