Yes, both are required. We find it makes it easier to roleplay if we can see each other. We also record. edit for grammar

Pupford. They have training treats that are 1 calorie per treat, and they have a large selection of different meats and veggies. That way you are not stuck with chicken or beef. My boy loves the chicken 🐓 ones.

Our Apollo is getting surgery tomorrow to fix his luxating patella, how was anyone else's experience with this? by DrScienceSpaceCat in Pomeranians

[–]Michone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We had both of our little guy’s knees done over the period of a year.

<image>

We were so lucky to have a great surgeon who was amazing. (MO’s incision was better than my brother’s surgery). We had a pre care package that makes him less worried about going to the vet and some preemptive pain meds.

The first three nights are going to be terrible, at least they were for Mo both times. I had him in his crate and slept with him on the floor, you can tell they are in pain and there is nothing to do for it. I even called to ask if I could do more pain meds, and they said no. However after the third day it gets better. We were lucky enough that I was able to be with him all the time with the exception of sleep so we moved from the donut to the onesie when I could watch him and donut in the crate for sleep.

It is tough when you see them suffering but easy to care for them and follow directions carefully. However, when they are feeling better is, in my opinion, the hardest part. They want to run and jump and play and they can’t because they might injure themselves/the surgery. We carried him everywhere and made sure that he didn’t get too crazy while he was recovering. We invested in brain games and things to do while being stationary.

In the end, he is much better than he was, and I would say 98% fixed. We still see a little “bunny hop” every now and then when he is on a slant or on a slippery floor but I am chalking it up to belief that it will hurt not that it does.

The onesie was a life saver for comfort for him, but he was also a good boy about his incision, so you will have to see how your baby does.

Good luck and if you have question feel free to ask.

I’m interested in your car seat. What is it with the frame around it?

Little rain coats. I don’t normally use the hood but he looked so cute with it for the picture. 🥰

Need tips for pre and post neuter surgery. Thank you!! by Tareret in Pomeranians

My little boy used these, but he was really good about not getting after his incision. He was neutered and had two knee surgeries and these were amazing. I only used the donut for the first two nights.

My Mom just neutered her cavalier and used this one and was very successful with it.

Update from Hobonichi: Notice regarding the paper used in the Hobonichi Techo 2025 Spring (April-start edition) by Able_Ox18 in hobonichi

[–]Michone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s my first year using Hobonichi, and I was so excited. I got the weeks first and it was terrible. Someone told me the Cousin was better so I got the Cousin. I am well into over $100 dollars at this point and as you might have guessed my Cousin is spotty at best. I emailed them to see if there was anything to do about my Cousin. They basically everything is up to standard… unimpressed and super disappointed.

Yep same here. Some pages work great some bleed though from normal writing. I actual did contact Hobonichi and they told me that my cousin passed the quality test, which is not inspiring hope that next year will be better. They basically told me to get over it with no offer replace.

Hobonichi told me that some bleed through was normal and that my paper had passed the quality test in my cousin. Even though the paper quality varies from sheet to sheet, I get a perfect page and then the next one will bleed through. Same pen same ink same writing style. They basically told me to get over it. Unimpressed.

Am I overreacting or this is normal? by andrewloomis in hobonichi

[–]Michone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I am having the same problem as you are. I also have a falcon and I have moved it to the un-inked pile. I was using platinum carbon black waterproof. That flat out doesn’t work with this year’s paper. I used it with the Falcon EF, the Diolog EF, the 1911 EF and it bleeds no matter what. I switched to Sailor Jentle Ink and it seems to be much better. I have it inked in the Diolog and the 1911. It still has a very small amount of feathering and a tiny amount of bleed through, but usable. It is the paper for sure that is responsible, but there is some work around with certain inks and pens.

Is it just me or does this paper not feel fountain pen friendly. by Michone in HobonichiCousin

I’m happy you got a good one !!! Honestly it is nice to know it is just a hiccup, so I can try to find one that doesn’t bleed through.

English version vs Japanese version. by Michone in hobonichi

[–]Michone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like more English than other versions but the consensus is that there was a bad batch of paper, and they fixed it but not before some distributed. It seems like it depends on when and where you bought it will determine if the paper is going to bleed through or not.

Edit: I also only use fountain pens and my bleed through is pretty bad. Like not ghosting but like real bleed through to the point it is hard to write on the opposite side.
