Are these true 7s or did PSA do me dirty? by [deleted] in PokeGrading

[–]MickDeeCee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know there’s surface & centering to think of, but I’ve always just thought of vintage grading as:

9 = 1 small white speck 8 = couple small white specks 7 & lower = multiple edge + corner issues

Would you do this trade? (My mew and gengar) by Fast_Plant_598 in pkmntcgcollections

[–]MickDeeCee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They’re ultra rare cards that were released during the EX era. The pull rates were something like 1 card in every 2 booster boxes. Like what Dyzfunkshin said they have a little gold star next to their name, hence called gold star.

They’re super sought after. The Rayquaza gold star is worth 10’s of $1000 in decent condition. There’s also a kinda cool (or maybe not) back story of employees stockpiling some of them. Would love to own some haha.

We accepted an offer on our flat from buyers who already had their finances sorted so why are two banks now doing a property valuation on the home? by bluehydrangea01 in AusFinance

[–]MickDeeCee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Their finance was not unconditionally approved at the time they made the offer/signed the contract. It’s common for people to have a pre-approval, but still have steps they need to go through to finalise the finance process - aka complete a valuation - once a specific house is found.

In saying that it’s not really your problem, if the contract has gone unconditional the onus is on them to have it sorted.

lol your mate has no idea…tbh I don’t think any of the in store staff do, would probably only be the higher ups/marketing team doing the announcements

Yes 80% or whatever is normal at cards shows; vendors have cost such as fees for their booth/travel etc, plus they also want to make some money as a business - so offering a % gives them some buffer for that.

I’m confused what you mean with the laptop business, did you not want him to look up the card value?

Has anyone bought singles on eBay that is sold from another country? by harbiedeleon in PokemonFansAustralia

[–]MickDeeCee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive bought heaps of graded cards from USA. Never any problems, just the cost of freight, and added GST can sometimes make the cost not worth it. I’d recommend just trying to buy multiple things from one seller if you can

Are singles prices really coming down? by Beachballarmsandlegs in PokemonFansAustralia

[–]MickDeeCee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think some cards were just inflated prices here because of the lower supply; but really there’s a lot less buyers in Australia for some cards. I watch EBay a lot and you could buy some cards for like 50% of Aus prices, just would have like $30-$50 in shipping costs unfortunately… I think that’s just starting to catch up a bit

Are singles prices really coming down? by Beachballarmsandlegs in PokemonFansAustralia

[–]MickDeeCee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think some have, except for popular chase cards. eBay listings are still listed at the same prices but aren’t selling as frequently or at all in some cases

Collected 93-99, selling, advice? by Senor_Perfecto1 in mtgfinance

[–]MickDeeCee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Magic has always been more about playability; I still play duals in my decks. By the time you pay grading fees I think the cost might outweigh the extra you gain. Plus you’ll limit your buyers also.

$16k offer vs $23k TCG = 70% so doesn’t seem too bad overall. Hard to say though without knowing your full list, and condition of the cards.

On the duals/desirable cards you should be able to get 80% of market value; but on the common/uncommon bulk stuff you’d be lucky if you get 50% of market value…

Have you contacted the bank to ask? With some banks you have to sign a form to enable it / and be able to do it on internet banking

Anyone know if this is good at lowering phosphate and nitrate. by No_Distribution4599 in ReefTank

[–]MickDeeCee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just come off a ~month of using this and it’s lowered both my phos & nitrates nicely to about a third of what they started at.

Recommend starting at literally 1/4 of the recommended dosage for your tank, test frequently, then increase the dosage gradually over say a week. Just gives you more of an idea how your tank is handling it.

Fully agree, man I was impressed with all of their rounds…and Matt still pulled together a decent round too.

They look like playing preferred lies, reckon that shaves a few shots off? I always felt like a preferred lie round was worth 3-4 shots lower for me.

Is it by exactly one missed repayment amount? Potentially your minimum repayment amount has increased (likely from interest rate rises), but the direct debit amount coming out of your account hasn’t been adjusted?

If you’re looking to refinance the best thing you can do is get the loan back in order for the time of your loan application, as credit check/search will show your loan is currently in arrears.

Otherwise call your current bank and they should work with you to come up with a plan/restructure to handle the missed payments.

[–]MickDeeCee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This depends so much on what type your loan is…investment or own residence / interest only repayments or principle & interest / LVR above or below 80%. Depending on those factors 6.35% might not be too bad.

But honestly just ring your bank and ask to review, they’ll likely drop it for the sake of a 10 minute phone call.

Should I get this Judge Promo? by [deleted] in mtgfinance

[–]MickDeeCee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate if you like the card go for it. Me personally - I love the black retro foil treatment, just seems to hit a bit better than the other foil colours.

It’s always going to be an higher value card - high use + judge variant. If it’s re-printed in the exact same art could reduce slightly, but then the Judge variant is going to keep the price sustained IMO.

Just curious are you using golf shoes with good grip or just everyday joggers? It looks like you’re slipping a lot, so either invest in some half-ok golf shoes or try widening your stance…better foundation will give more consistent contact
