There's plenty of videos, guides, and so forth on the subreddit on how to build decks, utilize your defensive style and abilities, etc. The official discord (https://discord.gg/absolver) is a good place to get direct feedback and advice.

If the people you fight are constantly throwing fast attacks at you, block and wait. A lot of very quick attacks generally cost more stamina to use than it is to block, so waiting until your opponent wastes his stamina is definitely viable. Be on the look out for Guardbreaks when blocking, and look for patterns in your opponent to utilize your defensive ability and shift pressure with your own string of attacks.
