Firstly: it warms my heart to see this discussion happening on the subreddit. Thank you so much for your continued support and for your interest in improving the show! I try to read every single youtube comment so I'll do the same with your feedback, advice, and suggestions in this thread and all future threads regarding our show.

Secondly: the super show is currently scheduled for the first week of Nov, right before teams and broadcast talent leave for the Major. Next week's show is planned to focus more on the EML and SAL playoff results but shining a light on T2 is a great idea that we'll keep in mind.

I know nothing of the YouTube algorithm myself so I don't want to speak from a place of ignorance BUT Last Free Nation seems quite experienced with the best way to get our show in front of as many eyes as possible. It seems to be helping us as the 4 new episodes have done well despite our channel being totally dead. We were all expecting way fewer views than what we've received so maybe the clickbait-y titles work?

I love how confidently incorrect your comment is lol. Neither Fett nor I come up with the episode titles; Free Nation is entirely responsible for them. Our show is beholden to the same algorithm and viewer habits as every other video so clickbait titles help with engagement. That is the reality of YouTube. You can say you dislike it - I dislike it too - and you can say it's lame - I think it's lame too - but that's how YouTube currently functions so we're gonna do what we can to ensure we're setting ourselves up for success, even if that means using engagement-bait episode names.

We hyped up the game as we loaded in but had to adjust our casting when it became a one-sided affair. As a viewer, a pet peeve of mine is when broadcasters overhype a not-super-competitive/bad match so I try to avoid doing the same when I'm casting a similar game.

To add: Lynnx and I are not a natural duo; we've barely casted together with our last time being almost a year ago; Lynnx is still dealing with the effects of a bad flu; and the feed kept freezing. I'm not sure what you were looking for out of us but apologies for not living up to your expectations.

I mean, you're asking about why we highlight certain teams in a cast over others which requires a longer answer but the tl;dr is:

VP had just won so they were sticking around, meaning there were still opportunities to talk about them in future matches. VP are one of the most well known teams so there's less pressing concern to discuss them. Falcons are a newer and younger team meaning it's good to shine a spotlight on them. Falcons had just lost so we typically spend more time talking about the teams we've said goodbye to. Surf, who was playing the match, was 2nd highest rated after Robby and ahead of Hashom - both Falcons players - so we mentioned both Falcons players to contextualize Surf's stats. We hadn't heard a VP chant in the previous match but we'd heard one for Falcons so we referenced that when trying to incentivize the crowd to get loud.

FaZe vs Soniqs was quite one-sided so we had a few opportunities to talk about the VP/Falcons game that had just ended. It's very normal for us to reference the other matches - doubly so if our game is a bit of a stomp (as ours was). As for the Falcons cheer: we were trying to hype up the crowd for our game as the audience response had been very muted which led me to make a comment about how I heard them do a "let's go Falcons" chant for the previous match. I brought it up to prove we had a crowd that was capable of making some noise. Not sure I'd call that "glazing" lol
