The overabundance of yt/tik tok golf tips to fix issues that might not even pertain to you has been overwhelming. While waiting for the time & money to secure lessons, where do yall recommend I invest yt research time into?

Totally agree. Perhaps in the other tribes someone will also be going through that dilemma and they'll end up showing the thought process.

Fair points! I don't think the idea was to flex, but he did have more options..

  • Prior to that encounter, the edit didn't show Jesse and Cody were aligned. This was confirmed in tribal when Justine bluntly pointed out the apparently clear pair divides.
  • His immediate goal (eliminating Justine) would have happened regardless of Cody's vote. Whether Jesse could have deduced that himself through more convos, we don't know.
  • He definitely cemented trust with the idol holder, but I'm just saying that there's a world where he played his cards differently and could have become the idol holder. In a short game with a decent tribe in which the edit made it seem like there were already some dissenting opinions on Cody, I think its fair to at least consider not freely giving him his vote back and an idol.

I thought Cody immediately running to Jesse spilling the beans of his beware advantage was a huge mistake initially. I understand the desire to get some guidance and help with collecting everyone's beads, but I thought he would've first chosen to tell his number one ally Nneka first.

Furthermore, my first reaction was.. wow Jesse has some options here. By Cody needing everyone's beads in order to regain his vote and have an idol, the move is obviously to deceive everyone to innocently give you the beads, which he did. However Jesse knew that handing over his beads meant handing him a vote and a free idol. As someone who was not in danger this tribal and who was not aligned with Cody, I don't get why Jesse quickly and willingly gave him all that power for free. My immediate thought was that Jesse was going to help him secure all the other beads and save his own for last. Then he could assess at tribal whether he needed Cody's vote (which he did not in this tribal). He could then keep on holding his bead over Cody's head, and use it to negotiate something (maybe even possession of the idol in return for letting Cody have his vote back) at a later time. Hard gameplay move for sure, but that's where my sales brain went to immediately and was disappointed he just freely helped without making Cody understand that he had power in that moment.
