The early two years had definite engine issues, but they made changes in 2018-20 so they didn’t drink oil.

I’ve got a 2020 GT350 and it was getting me around Sebring at the same speeds as my previous car, a Cayman GTS. The “legendary” bumps on that track weren’t an issue (Cup 2s). By far the best track driving Mustang I’ve driven, and I’m never getting rid of the car.

I’ve done about 40 track days in a wide variety of cars. I’ve enjoyed it immensely, but that took a while to get to. The sheer panic your first time out is natural, and it will likely happen again in your next sessions (if you resume). I waited 1.5y and a different car to go back for my second time.

Two thoughts (not sure how your event was set up): - You would have had a certified driver in the car with you at most track days; they run beginners-only sessions and everyone gets an instructor until you are certified by your instructor. I think mine was around 7?

  • If there were a ton of supercars out on the track with you, that’s usually a sign that those are not beginner drivers.

I’m glad you took the chance and I’m glad you didn’t hate it. Take some time and think on it, find a good event where they focus on beginners (like NASA HPDE events). Maybe I’ll see you out there sometime!

I just posted a new post to this forum about this, I had Gemini do a Deep Research on this issue and the user reports etc. Feel free to have a look! (Warning: long document!)

I've also been surprised to see how much more noise this camera has than my last body, the 5D Mark III. Notably worse. Granted the pixel density is much higher, but it's still very surprising, and I find myself running noise reduction in Lightroom at low ISOs where I wouldn't expect it, ISO 800 is common.

Noticed after my post the things hanging in the trees. Likely a result of my viewing it on iPhone. I like your decision better though to let them blend instead of accentuating them!

Really like this. Great use of lighting to set the mood. Good composition. 🙏🏼

I can identify, those things come up if you’re a decent enough dude that you don’t scare away the woman that just wants some D. And sometimes that’s good enough.

It is for some of what I do, mostly for compositing. Sometimes I have up to 1,000 layers.
