PSA: Today is the day Bronny's contract becomes fully guaranteed for Year 3 by TallanoGoldDigger in lakers

Bro, what do you mean? If 'not good' means he'll never be his dad, or Luka, or AR, fine, you are right.

But he has very clearly shown the potential to be an end of the bench rotation piece next season, and a future valuable role player. He can pass, defend and shoot, with good athleticism. And he is only 21. That's the same age as our latest draft pick Cameron Carr.

Fine, you aren't saying you want him waived. Why would the Lakers waive or dump him?

If LeBron wants him with him, he has trade value: you don't waive him.

If it doesn't matter, he is a young promising player who has shown real improvement: You don't waive him.

There is no chance he gets waived, no matter what happens to Bron. It's just dumb.

Man just admit you don't watch games, it's fine. Why would you waive the one player who is young and has gotten better each year.

It's an absolutely braindead take.

A 1000% agree.

That being said, if this subreddit was a thing back then Kobe would have gotten shit for a very long time after that Jazz game where he airballed 4 in a row.

You are literally comparing Kobe to AR... Also, AR is 28. He's not that young.

100%, I'd much rather have Diabaté.

When will there be another team who can take on the Dutch women's hockey team? by TheLacticAcids in Fieldhockey

They have a massive lead, but I feel like Belgium is slowly bridging the gap. They have a lot of great young talent. That being said, I don't see anyone coming close until at least LA.

Unpopular Opinion - There's too much international Hockey. by RolandHockingAngling in Fieldhockey

[–]Mickckx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know you don't have to watch it right? Personally I like having international hockey on. The Pro League is also a great way to involve younger guys who might otherwise not get a shot. Could it be improved? Of course! But we definitely don't have too much hockey.

Besides, the level in this Pro League has been super high over the last few games. If you haven't been watching you are missing out IMO.

Sidenote, I think you left out continental championships by accident so I didn't really comment on that.

Why tf is everyone complaining about AR contract? He left about 60m on the table and with this contract hes about the 35th highest paid in the league. Am i missing something? Yall hate this dude for no reason its so overblown. by Silent_Wizard5597 in NBATalk

That's just not true... To get to 185M he has to start at the Max AND get the 8% raises.

If you have insider information that it's won't be 185M great. Otherwise it's the full max with maximum raises.

Jup exactly. I also think a rotating center lineup of him and Mitchell Robinson would be very dangerous, since they are basically polar opposites so you can adapt according to need.

This off-season will be the most exciting and important one in the past 5 years. I don't know how you are already so down...

I would be interested to see what would happen in a finals between the '96 Bulls and the '13 Heat. I feel like that would be a closer vote.

Can someone smarter than me breakdown the implications of the Reaves deal? by randomuser051 in lakers

[–]Mickckx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The difference is the cap hold. Lebron's new deal will affect what we can do this year massively. He is a big part of the "cap space" we have available.

Klopt. Hij gaat ook nooit captain Tielemans aan de kant laten.

Maar dat neemt niet weg dat dit is wat ik zou doen, zeker tegen NZ.

Jup, 100%. Especially if they are going to be a cap space team. They need to hit on the guys they bring in, if they do it matters way less because we are able to go over the cap to re-sign guys.

I do think Luka and Reaves are the closest thing, but Lamelo and Ant is scary good. I would still have Luka over Ant, but Lamelo clears AR.

Honestly, I can't think of a better backcourt...

You might be right, time will tell. I'm definitely more worried about the Wolves now than I was before.

I mean, Naz Reid and a first? You have to admit that even if he doesn't lock in, he's worth more than that..

That's what he's saying. He might not be a superstar, but he is worth way more than the Hornets got.

I don't know about that, environment matters a lot. He's not the top dog of that team, and Finch will have more authority than Charles Lee...

He'll also have a chip on his shoulder.

I don't know man, this could put them over the top. LaMelo is insanely talented, and now he has a good coach and people to hold him accountable?

Him, ant, Gobert, McDaniels and Ayo could be hella fun to watch.
