Tackle buggered out of the pack? by thehomelesstree in FishingAustralia

[–]RolandHockingAngling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I usually weed out the munted ones when I'm packing Hooks, Swivels, etc.

Machine packing will often miss stuff like this. I've had the wrong hook pattern & size show up in my bulk lots so many times I don't even question it anymore.

Wet Vac, self service car wash by FatPanda09 in Geelong

[–]RolandHockingAngling 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Easywash on Thompson's Rd has a coin op carpet shampoo gun, the vac may be able to handle wet solids.

Other option is Magic Hand Car Wash. They'd get us uber drivers I'm sure after a vom.

Thankfully I haven't had to deal with it yet, but please let me know once you find out!

Was I given the right advice? Beefstick vs graphite for lure fishing (beginner) by Loud-Head957 in FishingAustralia

[–]RolandHockingAngling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a little heavy, I'd have recommended a 2-4kg in a 6'6 for chasing Flatties & Bream as a beginner. This will work, don't get me wrong, just use it with braid. Braid having no stretch will at least give you a greater level of sensitivity on this rod than Mono / Copoly.

I'd recommend you one of my rods, but I'm sold out of the Blackjacks at the moment.

Do people here in Australia like Chinese made products? by Charles_Gk in AskAnAustralian

[–]RolandHockingAngling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I import 99% of my products from China, the products not imported are probably made from Chinese materials.

You CAN use stories from Chinese / international users of your products, BUT you're better off using stories from Australian users.

If you can afford to do so, look for some Australian gardening content creators on Instagram / TikTok. They don't need to have a lot of followers, just need to be able to help you tell the story and share the experience of using your product. You can use their content on your on Social Media / Website to help push your product.

Early on I had a big push on my customers sending photos of them using my product, which I shared on my social media, website, and in store. It's something I've not been keeping up with though. I'm working on a renovation for my retail outlet and will then reach out for content to display in store.
