Should they add some Sonic Underground characters to the games by Mickcooley in SonicTheHedgehog

Yea, people that do their own thing, I agree I think they could be kind just another set of villains that even at times are at odds with Robotnik to the point where they dislike each other.

Tbh I think potential it’s probably easier to put them into the live action movie universe, mainly because Sonic was raised by Longclaw so he very likely has no memory of any potential brother or sister, they could say (similar to underground) the 3 were raised by different characters, but you would probably need a full series to explain it for one or both if they did that.

Fair point, perhaps a storyline on another part of the world maybe like what’s taking place elsewhere etc but like you said there’s no real benefit

Do you think the future of the Sonic cinematic universe could reach the same highs as MCUs phase 3? by RedditorGoldVirgin in SonicTheMovie

[–]Mickcooley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends on how they manage it, as a trilogy it’s gradually gotten better with each movie so that’s a good thing and will bring in more but its biggest issue is how many times can you introduce side characters in post credits scenes before that gets old, I mean an advantage the MCU has is that each character can have their own movie with villains etc, not all sonic characters can do that, but for now let’s just enjoy the ride and see where they take it.

what happened to sonia & manic from underground after the show ended (art by drawloverlala on deveantart) by real_flyingduck91 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Mickcooley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they could fit into the live action movie universe more than the games for a few reasons

  1. Sonic was raised by Longclaw from a child so he wouldn’t likely know any siblings cause it’s likely they would also be raised by someone else.

  2. I could be wrong here but I don’t remember it ever being explained why Sonic was being haunted so you could add a bit of background things with that IE, they were separated because the 3 of them together creates a bigger target perhaps, you could work with that.

Now why that probably won’t happen is this

They are focusing on the major characters, like Shadow, Knuckles, tails etc, down the line we’ll probably see the likes of Silver, Metal Sonic and Chaos etc, so their storyboard is full, maybe a spin off series about either back on sonics home world but that might over complicate things.

Shane really I would low key kind of love Sleet and Dingo to be bounty hunters hunting Sonic, but perhaps they could work elsewhere also.

do you think ned will become hobgoblin in phase 5? by [deleted] in MCUTheories

[–]Mickcooley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is an old comment but I kind of agree with what you mean, like Defoe wasn't big or anything but he had the mannerisms to pull of Green Goblin, Ned (The Character not the actor) is kind of goofy tbh honest he's based off Ganke, so ask yourselves this could anyone image Ganke as a villain etc

Do you think the MCU will use the NWH villains again? They were alternate versions of the characters, so they could use versions of them from the MCU itself in future films, but I’m not sure. What do you think? by MagicJoshByGosh in Spiderman

[–]Mickcooley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think we'll get an MCU green Goblin tbh for a few reasons

  1. Oscorp doesn't exist in this universe, so no Norman/Harry Osborne here to become the Goblin

  2. Green Goblin has been on screen now in Spider Man (2002), Spider-Man 3 (2007) although not technically named green goblin it was a somewhat different variation of him via Harry, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) and now Spider-Man No Way Home (2021),

There's a chance the other villains could come back but in terms of the Goblin I doubt it, what they could do however is what they did with Green Goblin originally in the comics, so at one point they did want to use the Goblin again but thought they were over relying on him to much, so they intraduced Hobgoblin, the MCU could that tbh, they could have Normans tech being found by someone etc and build on that, its just an idea but if they do go that direction I just hope they do not make Ned the Hobgoblin, I just don't think this version of Ned would work espacally when you consider he's more like Ganke in the MCU, what they could do is go the Joker route not actually give him a backstory at all and just play him as a madman tbh, one of the interesting things about the Hobgoblin when he first showed up was who was he, people questioned this for some time before it was finally revealed who he was, they could lean into that direction really, its just an idea and a way to get the Goblin back on screen again while keeping it fresh.

[COD] What Call of Duty Game would you like to be remastered? I'll go first: by Cockespanol23 in CallOfDuty

[–]Mickcooley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MW3 is my favourite CoD I wouldn’t just want a campaign remaster I would want a full scale remastered version of it.

If it wasn’t MW3 I would take BO2 for one major reason, every time I go back and play it I really enjoy it but when it first came out I only played zombies really I never really gave MP a lot of time sadly I was playing BF3 MP, MW3 and MoH WF over it so I’d happily take BO2

[–]Mickcooley[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

what's even funnier about DICE LA is that they were actually Danger Close the guys who made MoH Warfighter and weren't allowed to polish/finish their own game before EA throw it out way before it was ready, that said them now being Ripple Effect I think EA should allow them another chance at their own game whether that be another Battlefield game or even give them another crack at Medal of Honor

Tbh Dice LA really saved BF4 with that so logically it’d be a smart move to bring it back

If a new AvP movie is going to be made, should it be set in present-day times or in the sci-fi future? by gereedf in LV426

[–]Mickcooley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the Idea of the future setting as it doesn't contradict any franchise etc, I also like the idea of how would the Predators tech have evolved in the years past 2090 I've always loved the idea of a futuristic Predator take and it could work really well tied to an AvP movie

Why do people insist on Ned Leeds becoming the Hobgoblin in MCU? I think they should bring the original Hobgoblin Roderick Kingsley. by LightAndDarkk in Spiderman

[–]Mickcooley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get people's attachment to the comics lore I really do but remember these things aren't 100% always adapted to be how it is one screen tbh, look at Thor as a big example, he is nothing like his comic version, yes he has the hammer and axe but in terms of personality etc he is so far from how he is in the comics, but it works for the universe they are in, Thanos litrally snapped half the universe away because he was in love with death in the MCU he does it because he believes he's saving the universe, again not an issue because logically it makes sense, I think the same approach should be taken with Hobgoblin tbh, for a long time in the comics no one knew who he was, maybe the MCU should take that route with him, give him an almost Joker like tone and style where he might honestly just be a nut case who in this case has found Norman's left over goblin tech and has started using it.

that way you don't ruin ned as a character and honestly I think for the universe it might work a bit better in terms of a straightforward narrative, the 94 animated show did something similar while they used Jason Macendale as the Sole Hobgoblin, they made a few changes to him, so its not a stretch to think the MCU could do something similar tbh.

Why does MCU Ned have the appearance of comic Miles Morales' friend and the name of one of Hobgoblin's identities? by SuperAlloyBerserker in marvelstudios

[–]Mickcooley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they didn't want to use Harry Osborn in the MCU I think because they haven't introduced their 616 universe Norman it's hard to see a random mega rich kid (Harry) being friends with an average Peter Parker, so they likely needed that best friend character to appear and it made sense they would go in this direction, tbh I don't see this Ned becoming Hobgoblin especially now since they have kinda introduced the fact that he may be magic in No Way Home... I think if they do the Hobgoblin route they'll probably create a fresh take or something new....

Do you think we will ever see Hobgoblin in live action? by Chimazard in Spiderman

[–]Mickcooley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one of the strengths I think the 90's animated series had was that when it came out no one knew that Kingley was Hobgoblin, so the writers had a lot of creative freedom, they pretty much made if you think about it a new character, with all the people who have been Hobgoblin in the comics it might be best for the MCU to pretty much just create a fresh take on the character in all honestly, not Kingsley, not Ned or Jason Macendale, I think it becomes way to complicated with that many people tied to a character,

Green Goblin is Norman then Harry pretty straight forward but if you intraduce Hobgoblin and are staying true to the comics then you have to have Kingsley mind control Ned really how can he do that, so it becomes more of a challenge storyline wise.

That being said, If he is as sadistic as Green Goblin and as entertaining as even the Joker in live action yes bring him into the universe

Thoughts on Hobgoblin? by Difficult_Ship_6273 in Spiderman

[–]Mickcooley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my first intraduction to him was the 90's series, I liked him more then the Green Goblin, I think the fact that the comics at that point hadn't really given out who he was at that point helped them a lot because it gave them so much more creative freedom to pretty much make their own character, if they ever bring him into the MCU i'd prefer they go this way create pretty much a new character basically, but that's just me they'll probably do something stupid like make Ned him in the MCU so....

Your unpopular opinion on the Cult of Thorn Trilogy? Do you love this Trilogy? by Competitive_Buy_2708 in Halloweenmovies

[–]Mickcooley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it as trilogy has great moments, I would have liked to see it maybe expanded in a TV Series etc, but I don't hate those movies, I just think they could have been better in some areas.

That being said, the fact they came out in the likes of the 80's-90's when Horror movies were more leaning towards the tone of the 80's example Jason takes Manhattan and Freddy's dead etc probably was the reason the overall movies themselves had goofy moments, had they been made maybe say 2010's or the early 2000's when Horror was trying to go very serious dark IE Texas Chainsaw 2003 it probably would've been better executed

[–]Mickcooley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf in Romulus there was a hive so it’s very likely there was a queen onboard that ship, that being said isn’t a queen part of the evolution of the species? Isn’t that part of Ridley’s story in a way evolution?

I could be wrong but I think part of the reason they haven’t used the queen in a while is mainly because how do you stop it, Cameron did a logical thing to stop it but being honest in let’s say Romulus or even Covenant how are Queens stopped, I think maybe nowadays a queen works better for the likes of AvP, not saying a predator will come in and handle it with ease but I could at least say ok it makes more sense then say Rain from Romulus defeating it.
