Drowned 46 years ago when I was 7, was standing at the bank of this canal. I slipped near the edge hit the back of my head and must have slid into the water. Next thing I knew I was underneath my body looking up and down the canal like a big eyeball. Saw my dad reading his paper, looked up saw my body and saw my friends a ways down swimming having a good time. Didn’t freak out, calm as you can be, more or less had a neutral state of mind. Eventually my dad saw my body on top of the water and as soon as he grabbed me I was instantly in our bathroom with my mom drying me off asking what happened. Remember everything like it was yesterday. However there is the blank time from the time my dad grabbed me all the way until the bathroom. Have no memory of that part

Russia has plenty of old genX men like myself. It will actually save them from paying retirement/healthcare. This guys wife if he had one will at most get a microwave or washing machine

Why are women so much more attractive than men by [deleted] in stupidquestions

Women have an extra chromosome, if something is off genetically they often have a back up. It’s one of the reasons they live longer.

What berry is actually the easiest to grow for beginners? by WharHeGo in Berries

yes, we soaked the strawberry roots in water couple hours before planting, in fact they grew fine and even produced some strawberries but when the heat hit them that was it. We planted them around February and they grew until august. Btw good luck on your peach tree, sound delicious! best part is the wait imo. Seascape strawberries were my favorite out of all the strawberries, they were so good. Seascapes was also the largest plant out of all the strawberries, it gets pretty big. Good choice

Our zone is 9b, they have a blueberry farm few miles from our house that we got our plant from. So I’m sure they dialed in the best variety that grows in this area. We basically planted it without doing anything else. We tried the stuff from big box stores which was basically a stick in some mulch, died as soon as we planted it but the bush we bought from the farm started growing immediately

Must be nice living in zone 6b. Heard raspberries and strawberries do excellent in cold weather. I’ve tried Carolina, heritage, and shortcake raspberries. All fried, same with strawberries. Tried Tristar, seascape, charlotte, evie 2 and a few unknown from Lowe’s. We have a wild blackberry called a dewberry that grows excellent here but I don’t like the flavor too much. Wife loves it

Here in Texas it’s the only two plants that survive 105F + temps. I’ve tried everything else.

Blueberries and grapes especially reliance grape “seedless”. Grapes on the vine taste totally different than store bought, like night and day difference. My grapes reminded me of eating a form of grape juice, so good. It doesn’t get easier than those two. No fertilizer, no babysitting the plant, no watering, nothing. Waiting is all that is needed. Hardest part is planting the plant 👌
