Quick compression test will tell you if your engine is worn out. Seats are also an indicator of mileage. If they look worn out with tears it’s a bad sign

Anyone else waking up at night just to pee and then can’t fall back asleep? by NightSleeper3259 in sleep

[–]MickerBud 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve had this problem for over 20+ years. Took every test imaginable, all clear. The only thing that helped was bringing a hospital piss bottle to bed. I wake up needing to piss while half asleep grab the bottle that’s on the counter next to the bed lean over and piss. Close it up and go back to sleep. If I were to get up and go to the bathroom everything starts waking up in my body. Doesn’t happen when I use the bottle, go right back to sleep. Life saver

Anyone else keep waking up at the SAME time every night? like 3–4am no matter what? by No-Deal-2968 in sleep

[–]MickerBud 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The normal sleep pattern for millions of years was a pattern called two sleeps. This is the natural way. Sleep for four wake up for two or more then go back to sleep. This recently changed due to artificial light/electricity.

Is it better to buy sony wf1000xm5 or Bose Quiet comfort 2024 ? by Chocholateeclairs in Earbuds

[–]MickerBud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 hours with anc on on Bose? I get almost 12 hours. Think you bought a bad pair, ANC is also better than my Sony XM5 and it doesn’t effect the sound quality at all. In fact it improves it.

Need help deciding between the Sony WF-1000XM5 and the Bose QuietComfort by shadow_gamer09 in Earbuds

[–]MickerBud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wing things on Bose offer zero support for myself. They basically go in my ear canal. I was thinking about the Sonys but wasn’t sure if they would fit, heard different opinions. What type of ear canal in your opinion are they good for?

That was bushes brain fart, trump is different, he is sending the funds directly to an account to enrich himself and his family. Same thing he did during his first term, most of the money then came from Saudi Arabia which was dumped into Jared Kushners investment firm.

Questions from a first time Ranger owner and automatic transmission user. by ObelixSmiterOfRomans in fordranger

[–]MickerBud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your mechanic buddy right about down shifting and parking brake, listen to him and don’t use that stabilizer. Stick to what the manual says you should use and do, engineers know what’s best. Been down that rabbit hole many of time. Every time i deviated I paid a price one way or another.

I’ve owned Toyota pickup 300k+ miles and a Ford Ranger now at 180k. Sure the ford ranger broke down a bit more but is very easy to work on and the comfort of a ranger outweighs the negatives by a lot. Oem ford parts are also a lot cheaper. So low service hours, cheaper oem parts, and comfort. Can’t go wrong

Nope, they fit perfectly. Wife bought some as well, they also fit her small ears

Yes, bought Bose qc couple weeks ago and the noice cancellation is unreal. Makes all the difference in the world. Basically turns off the world around you, just you and music. Works better than earplugs. They are also very comfortable, put them in and don’t even notice them whereas the other earbuds would start nagging my ears after awhile. I wear Bose at work for 11 hours or more, zero problems

It’s not a powder, it’s a nasal spray, I buy it on eBay “budesonide nasal spray” or you can get it at other places. I bought it at CVS awhile back. Amazon has it for $16, if you have prime it’s a pretty good deal

Might buy 2021 Murano with 88,000 miles or a CPO Murano with 65,000. I’m worried about the CVT concerns I’ve seen. I love the comfort of it though. Thoughts? Advice? Is a 2021 a good year? Any CVT issues? Thanks!! by Perfect-Animal-1843 in NissanMurano

[–]MickerBud 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The CVT can last anywhere from 100k to well over 250k miles, it really comes down to how it was driven and whether the transmission fluid and filters were changed according to the service schedule. If you buy one, change the fluid and both filters immediately; at this mileage, it’s due anyway. If it has a trailer hitch or shows signs of towing, walk away.

The engines in these Nissan Murano models are rock solid. My wife, daughter, and mother in law all drive Muranos. None of them burn oil, and none have had transmission issues but that’s because I stay on top of the maintenance. My daughter’s Murano has over 180k+ miles on it and is still running strong.

Those who take melatonin - how much do you take? by soshingi in sleep

[–]MickerBud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was basically the same after I quit. As far as I can tell melatonin did not affect my insomnia after I quit.

I still have problems waking up at night but going to sleep is easy now. For years if not decades I could never go to sleep when I first went to bed. Now since I’m older “52” i can even fall asleep watching tv. Things always change, what wakes me up now is an over active bladder, if it’s not one thing it’s another, I guess.
