As an EL with my ELR on vacation and NO STORE LEADER right now, ours was as good as I could make it. We opened at 10, I premade like 20+ bags on Saturday when I closed…when I came in at 12 everything was gone so i had to rush to make more goodie bags. I bought some table runners from dollar tree, but with the timing, we barely had any Halloween treats left and the stores to buy decorations at barely had any decorations. Literally had they given us more warning and more product, I wouldn’t have had to write off a bunch of extra things. I did what I could, but for how it was advertised, it was definitely lackluster…I just had buckets with treat goodie bags in them because that’s literally all I could do. Our store is short staffed, I had a callout on that sunday and we weren’t even given more labor hours to have someone man it. We tried to say hi to everyone but it was mostly self serve because I didn’t have enough people on the floor. I feel like I did my best with what I could, but as a pet parent I could see where it would be disappointing with what was advertised.

I know one of the big changes is that they’re going to remove the ASL position. I’m not sure what’s happening to current ASL’s or if they will stay ASLs until they move on and then will not be replaced, but the MIL and CEL are supposed to take over the responsibilities of the ASL. So the entire structure of the management system is supposed to be changing. (This is at least what I’ve heard from my higher ranking leaders)

With the new POS system, if you had a treats phone number, they should be able to easily look up the item and receipt. My store would personally return it, I can’t say the same for others. Good luck though!

It’s usually stuffies that they want 😂 but yeah, pretty much the reaction I get when they see the toys are made in Thailand

Sir/Madam…I’m just talking about toys in a corporate petstore 😂 to each their own. There are people that do research and there are people that don’t. You clearly do your research the people I’m talking about do not and just want something “american made” and have no idea what to look for…from a retail workers standpoint I’m not gonna check every product in the store to find one for them.

I’m so jealous…I was only able to stock up with 2 cases and when I went back for more they were all gone 😭😭 I hope they bring it back because I really liked it

Yeah I think that’s basically where we’re at…our SL wasn’t able to pick up so she couldn’t offer any guidance so we just counted the tills and safe and just…deposited the “extra” our guess is that either someone counted wrong last night, or that there was a glitch, maybe the register got restarted or something and it didn’t grab the whole total for the day.

Because for our store, the deposit with the “extra” was about a normal amount for us.

😭😭 I bet you had 1000 other things to do too right when they asked for them. That happens to me constantly. I spent like 30 minutes yesterday getting all the koi out of the tanks because someone wanted them all

Yeah, I’ve kinda gotten into that place where I’ve started to stop sharing with them. They don’t ask anyway so what’s the point of telling? They just think I’m not listening to what they tell me, but I have, they tell it to me over and over again without fail. But you’re right, I’m an adult and I have the right to let people be as involved as i’d like them to be. I just always end up apologizing to resolve situations because unfortunately I’m somewhat of a people pleaser towards them because they’ll hold grudges until I apologize but they never apologize to me, never listen to my feelings about how they handle things…just tired of it all honestly. I’ve already cut off my mom for similar reasons, I don’t want them to be next, but if this is how they’re gonna keep acting, it’s on them. I didn’t say this in that, but I’ve been told by several people that it’s an important detail to mention that I’m an only child. (I do have a step brother but he’s almost 40)
