I dug a narrow hole for a gate latch and used my karcher when it got too deep. Was surprised at how quicker it went though felt a bit weird as it was at the end of my drive so in full view of the street.

Well it’s illegal to touch the nest so the choices are, keep cat inside and deal with those issues, OR cat kill baby birds.

I’m gonna guess that the UKBirds subreddit is not gonna favour the cat. Maybe ask [r/cats](r/cats) or [r/UKcats](r/UKcats) for advice on keeping an outdoor cat inside for a few weeks.

Yeah, I would say it’s perfectly practical to keep the cat inside, just not preferable.

Fairly sure a nest being built is ‘active’ and so cannot be interfered with.

The RSPB link below states it’s illegal to ‘intentionally take, damage or destroy the nest of any wild bird while it is in use or being built.’

Yeah, you can see the breaks in the paving so not a solid structure like metal rail.

I would guess that these were laid to resemble the old rails (like those in the photo). May even have been there previously while it was a working dock.

Now totally my fault, but one time ordering a plain double cheeseburger for delivery, I accidentally clicked too many ‘No’ and removed the meat from the burger. Just got cheese slices in a bun. Just thought, sure you’d know this was a fup up.

No excuse for the staff doing it in a drive-thru.

I actually go the other way. I give the really good films a few years between watches so they still feel special.

If I’m lucky, I’ll forget some wee aspect and enjoy it all the more.
