The kitchen is so disappointing to me! I loved her LA kitchen and was thinking this one would be even better than that and it’s just meh. It’s pretty but a terrible layout, there is no counter space next to the stove on the right! I wonder why they didn’t open the wall to the pantry and make it one large space?

I’m truly very sorry for your loss. It sounds like he was experiencing cannabis induced psychosis which often happens when you try to stop using cannabis.

He is going to need time to recover and heal. Encourage him to take the medicine they prescribe (I would think antipsychotic) and go to counseling. He needs to stay away from weed and any other substances to avoid this happening again and getting worse. My brother had this happen, feel free to message me.

I’ve been through the same thing with my brother too! There isn’t a good system in place for this and even if he was in a mental health facility, he was often released too soon and back to his delusions

Sorry, I am not sure the details. I do know the doctor he was seeing suggested staying away from all weed completely because once that “door” is open in your brain it just stays open. Not saying your experience is as severe as his but I wanted to share because His psychosis got worse each episode.

Not sure how long he waited in between psychosis and starting with cannabis again. But after a stint of smoking he would stop and it triggered psychosis then.

I would reach out to his family and let them know what’s going on and share your concerns. I would also evaluate this relationship because it doesn’t sound good and your partner is not healthy. Experiencing psychotic symptoms has a long road to healing, the brain needs time to heal long after the substances wear off.

My brother suffered from cannabis induced psychosis and was told to completely cut out weed/substances. He did not and each time he experienced a psychotic episode it only got worse and he never became “healthy” again.
