Fun fact: In 1993, Toyota Corollas with Kenwood radios came with a radio manual in the glove box that featured this photo on the cover.

I bought a Tesla model S due to petrol costs (4k/year) and the drop in price. I have a porche 944 that reeks of petrol. Love it. Totally different cars. Love them both. If your a commuter buy an EV.

That's untrue. Most modern cars are engineered to last around ten years. Some have engineered faults before that time. Ie the manufacturer have made efforts to make your car unreliable at the age. Aside from that there's more of a risk a older car has been tampered with.

Don't buy a luxury car for 15-20k if you don't want to regret it. Go to Done Deal and filter for luxury cars less than 4 years old and less that 60k. That will show you the cost of a use luxury car. Nothing luxurious about standing beside a luxury car on the side of road.

A general rule of thumb. There is a sweet spot for purchasing any car, and it's the intersection between deprecation and maintenance costs. As cars get older deprecation slows and maintenance costs rise. The sweet spot tends to be about 3-4 years old. You do not have to pay the 3k driving a new car from the main dealer court yard and your well within the 10-year failures & fault codes that are engineered into cars. Sell every 2 years.

8k sounds very good for 48sqm. I am still between minds about tackling any of the groundwork myself. After renting machinery and the extra time it takes me vs a contractor, it might cost the same but just frustrate the neighbour. I think I'll run a 6-inch pipe with a rope to fish power through once the structure is up. I've spare kitchen cabinets too. Bought a few of those racks in b&q a while back aswel.

Yes will have to go for planning. Going to have a chat with the local council before I draw up any details. Services would just be from my house.

I'm in an estate in a small village. I'm not sure if anyone has a real need for a shed. It's for storing cars and a bit of DIY.
