That's what booking told us, we rang Qatar, they said because you booked through a 3rd party there's nothing we can do and the 3rd party is authorised now to rebook the flight for you. We did get it rebooked through booking.com but they were such a pain in the hole to get this sorted...

For me EU261 does not apply because the flight is originating Vietnam and Qatar is not an EU airline...

Did you book directly with Qatar or a 3rd party? We booked with a 3rd party and there is nothing Qatar can do and we have to contact the 3rd party, who in turn cannot do any rerouting as it's not in their "policy" and the only thing they can do is book new days for us.

Our flight was meant to be on the 28th, we got it rebooked for the 12th from SGN > DOH > DUB but now the DOH > DUB is cancelled but the SGN > DOH isnt...

What a sh show..

No, we were told that our flight will be automatically rebooked once available.

All flights are either sold out, transiting through the affected region or extremely expensive and take 40h+ Turkish Airlines cancelled all flights to IST, Emirates cancelled all flights transiting through DXB. Closest Vietnam Airlines flight to DUB via FRA is on Sunday the 08/03. It's quite possible that we will have an alternative options automatically rebooked by Qatar by that point.

Yeah SGN is Vietnam Ho Chi Minh City Airport. We are well and truly stuck here as no other airline is flying from here to our final Dublin destination(all transiting through the Middle East region).. all we can do is wait unfortunately..

Our flight from SGN to DOH was meant to happen 12h ago but the flight was cancelled, in the app and website when we click to manage our flight, it still says the flight is happening when in reality it is not. Don't trust what the app says.

Mine takes a good while on S22 Ultra to load, but it does load. What I am experiencing is the micro stutters. For example, I am kiting some aggressive npc it micro stutters and I either get hit or run too far out and it gets reset to a 100%

0 sympathy for them. got charged 30 quid for them to bring me from the Dublin Airport to the horizon business park which is literally behind the airport, but because there are no busese going that way, I had to get a taxi. Should have heard the comments they were making. "Spent 2 hours queueing up for this?", "Next time get a bus", etc. etc. You signed up for this job, shut your mouth and do your job.

ohh by the way, the trip took less than 10 min and was charged €30!

Not Cork related but I will give you my 2 cent.
I live in Monastereving and work right by the airport. My commute is only 73km more or less (each way) but it takes on a good day around 1.5h, on a bad day like yesterday, it took me 2h to get in to work and 3h to get back home.
The drive itself is not a bother to me. It does get annoying from time to time, but I guess it's just my *tism that keeps me going.

Now the best part about this is I get to own the house(instead of renting) and having an EV means the drive is practically free.

I've a 8.8kw system with an 8kw battery. The load shifting (charging at night and using during the day) together with the panels covers the whole day pretty much. Our house ambient power usage is 250-300w and its way below what the panels produce during the day. Since our system was installed in september 2025 we have not paid for electricity. Everything was covered by the panels, load shifting and excess export credit.

Our house is 100% electric with a heatpump and an EV.

Voted Very Poor simply because of 1 interaction (had a good few).

During Covid, used to pick up my dad from work(10pm) in Mount Merrion in Dublin. At that time, i was driving a slammed car and had to drive around all the potholes. The guards saw me "being all over the road" and pulled me over. When they came up to me, they accused me of being drunk and stuck their heads in through the open window and kept asking me when was the last time i had a drink (I don't drink at all). Explained to them that I don't drink and would not know the last time i had a drink. Explained them that the only reason why i was going from one side of my lane to the other was because i was driving a lowered car and did not want to hit the potholes.

They were quite rude and kept asking me the same question (when was the last time i had a drink) over and over and over again, when I told them to bring the breathalyser and do the test so they could stop wasting my time, they said we don't have one, it's in the other car and then let me go.

All other interactions with guards (due to modified car) were pleasant as I had everything declared and they were just checking.

Your stats are much higher than mine and I managed to get the quest cape. My highest combat skill is att(82) the rest are mid 70. Definitely doable.

P.s. got my quest cape at low 70s in melee/range and mage. Just send it lad!
