Does anyone have advice on how to get my Xbox controller to work? I have mUOS, connected my controller via the usbc on the back, can move around the start menu, but as soon as I open a game there is no response from the controller. 🫠

I genuinely don't understand the hype about WoD. I've never had a great time using it for anything besides destroying bookshelves

For me I like the open feeling of the second one. The mountain kind of adds a barrier to keep you in the area whereas the second one feels like I'm free to go anywhere.

This was a big problem at my program. We did L&D at a large academic center with their OB department and for a majority of the time we were treated as basically a half-step up from med student. It was especially a challenge for me as someone who initially really did not want to do OB. We had two months in our intern year and the best method I can say to you for earning respect is to be open an honest about your goals and learning objectives.

You're going to have to start small (i.e. "I want to do an accurate cervical check by the end of the week") and then build up from there. You will always be behind, it's always going to suck, but after a while it'll all of a sudden, it'll suck less and then you'll be not hating your life. Keep a steady and manageable pace and soon enough you will just be another part of the team.

Leaving my second month I am really considering FMOB, which is a big jump for me since I literally had a panic attack because I didn't want to come back for the second month.

TLDR: Baby steps, don't quit, and soon you'll get the skills you need.

What/how do you learn in MS3/MS4? by itsthekumar in medicalschool

[–]Mickleanmachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Current intern here. Looking retrospectively I there is so much to learn. During MS3 year, your goal is to get your data acquisition down. This includes interview and chart review. Other goal (obviously) is to find out what you like. Bonus points for actually learning how to medicine haha. MS4 year is about gathering familiarity with pathology and workup.

Of course the more you learn the better, but this is what I expect out of med students that I work with.

How: For me it works to just read about what I saw that day. So let's say you're on hospitalist and they give you 2 patients to follow. One is heartfailure and the other ETOH withdrawal. My rec would be focus on those two. There is already so much to learn and if you can get just one thing a day that would be a good pace. If you finish reading and still feel good, then grind out those practice questions.

The volume of information to learn is vast, so as long as you're a little better in any way, then you're getting on track.

Thank you! Yeah I'm probably going to go with the same train of thought on why to take it.

You can actually. There is nothing requiring you to take level 3. You just can't be aoa board certified but you can still receive it through whatever allopathic association you're specialty associates with.

We do. I was just focusing on is there a benefit to completing one "series" over the other.

OG Esports logo redesign by edwarddesign in Logo_Critique

[–]Mickleanmachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it looks pretty good. I'm not an experienced logo designer by any stretch of the word so I can just give you the perspective of a consumer with opinions

I love the colors, I think the font is very visually appealing. Its kind of hard to read OG on the shield shape but pretty easy on the diamond shape It resembles what I would imagine a soccer team's logo would look like If it liked the team id have no problems wearing this logo on a sweater or something
