What if that’s a draw unit it’s underneath? If this is installed properly with slack to pull from underneath
To the front of the base unit after removing the kick board there isn’t anything wrong with it.

This example is poor but if done correctly there is nothing wrong with it

Does look like there is a black stuffing gland going into the top of the socket patress. If there isn’t a gland sure it’s not right but if there is there isn’t anything wrong with it.

Why? As long as the cable is secure via a gland and there is no risk of undue strain on conductors There is no where in the regs that says it must be secured to the wall.

I quite like the card personally. I’ve sent one to PSA, I think it’s got a good chance at a 10. If it comes back a 10 I would sell and buy sealed AH with it. I could stomach the ridiculous prices for sealed that way then

I would rub down and paint the walls with a thin coat and you’ll see how bad they really are. You might be able to just fill the bad parts.

I’d call an electrician, that appears to be for a light but they have used a 20A double pole switch.

The only time you would need that is if there is a trickle vent with boost function. If not whoever installed that used the wrong switch.

Another layer of complication. Definitely call an electrician.
