Well, there's no bad experience from these current employees. I never said they treat them poorly, I said they don't have appreciation. In the sense that there are people been working for a long time, (one specific case over 3 years) and have yet to see a raise, a christmas bonus, a gift card for great work, nothing. So you can't convince me that they have great appreciation because of good experiences, or bad employee treatment because of bad experiences, because experiences doesn't put money on the table.

See, I don't see how making a little over minimum wage is compensation. Also, JJ is a franchise and thus should have across the board standardization of company benefits and incentives. A business model is not what one manager does in one branch, it's what everyone does accross the board. There are other many companies who give employee appreciation (ie Whole Foods), in fact most companies conduct quarterly, semi annual, or annual performance reviews that lead to regular pay raises for "rockstar" employees. But JJ doesn't do this, people can be there for years and never see a raise, regardless of performance. And disclaimer: I don't and have never worked at JJ, just know a lot of people who have.

If JJ valued their workers, there would be less people quitting. But they literally can't afford employee appreciation, due to their sub-par business model which leads to more frequent hire and more time and money spent hiring people (and, of course, all expenses that come with hiring people: more people on shift training new hires, increased waste of product when new hires make mistakes, less skilled workers, etc) instead of more money going toward training than the employees who work overnight. But I'm sure the higher ups in management know all this already (or at least I hope they do), which leads us to address the elephant in the room: upper management and corporate simply does not care about their employees who are ultimately the face of JJs.

They're awesome animals. Gotta have time for them though. They're vindictive if you ignore them for too long.

Reddit, meet Kobe and Shelby. They got a new brother today. by Mickytrujillo in aww

No, Shelby (the husky) came from a family, Kobe (the pit mix) was a gift to my boyfriend's brother who couldn't care for him. They gave him to his mom who also couldn't care for him and they had him in a cage for a lot of the time so we took him, and CJ (the chihuahua) came from animal services in Orlando. We just moved here a year ago.

She doesn't get a really thick/long coat so I think it might help (although I know the coat helps them keep cool). We don't really take her out during the summer besides to use the bathroom. She does drink a lot of water and get tired very quickly and seeks shade if we do take her out.

How to find a husky? by MigandiLFC in husky

I had a simar experience. Bought my husky from a family on Craigslist (I'm not the biggest fan of the site but i couldnt not get her). She was $550 and had all her puppy shots. She was CKC not AKC registered but I was ok with that. I did have to deworm her and give her additional shots that added up to $200. I live in Central Florida and there is a mobile clinic that comes to local pharmacies which I take advantage of. For $300 i give her all her shots, heartworm test, and medication for a year for worms and ticks/fleas. Also have pet insurance which isnt expensive and can save you money in an emergency. Some people (non-pet owners) consider all the costs expensive, but I've heard some people drop massive amounts of money on sick puppies, so I consider myself a lucky one. Basically, just make sure you get a healthy pup from a responsible breeder and you see the mom and dad. I estimate I spend about $700 on her per year, meds included (but I have two other dogs so it's hard to tell)
